super laff in!
he was a character. he was our favorite in that program. "sprakenheit!"
but, no.
i was refering to bruce lee.
but yes, it might just be hero worship on my side.
wala pang mma nung mga panahong iyon. he invented it, and called it jeet kune do.
and oh yes! the strings and wires during the fight scenes, disappeared.

iba talaga influence ni bruce lee and jackie chan...
pag pumupunta ako sa nepa q mart and balintawak market.... mga around 1am yan... pinapanuod mga old chinese movies..... mga kalalakihan, kumpul kumpul, mangha-mangha...
jackie chan was but one of hundreds of bruce lee "copiers" across the planet.
in fairness, jackie was already into chinese martial arts, even before.
but he decided that if he merely followed bruce's footsteps, he'd just be one of them hundreds.
so, he invented his brand of comedy martial arts. and he's been on top of his game ever since. it was said that he did/used to do, his own stunts. there are statements that he had already broken every other bone in his body.
i wonder, is he also the pioneer in showing all their mis-takes, as a bonus, at the end of the movie?
