Haven't played guitar in more than 20+ years. My son is learning to play it and I gave it a try. My fingers felt creaky like it needed oiling. Lol.

jammed with my eldest son last night, we played 2 songs: "Leaving on a Jet Plane" and "Here comes the Sun", with his new Ukelele and me on guitar, I can still play guitar pala, sakit lang ng fingers ko since its been a years since i last played

i still try to play everynight before going to bed...pampatunaw ng food

its a perishable skill if one doesnt play often and i want to be an example to my daugther who is studying piano..

yep tagal ko na nag stop playing guitar siguro more than 10 years simula nun mag concentrate ako sa drums and percussion
playing music is my sideline
now I'm going back to playing guitar and I'm enjoying it more since I'm jamming with my son

he's using you tube sir and nakikita ko yun improvement niya
ako sir walang formal training purely oido or playing by ear
I know the couple who teaches sa Saudi, dun din kami nag practice one time sa rehearsal studio nila
and of course the original piano teacher from your place family, friend namin

i used to be formally trained and could sight read, then i got used to play by ear, when i started to study formally again, i had a hard time, relying solely by ear, i skipped studying classical and focus on jazz instead...

nag music lesson ka kuya. i guess that's a plus pag nasa gyera na tayo, you hold a gatling gun on one hand, then play a musical instrument on the other. parang it's better to be a warrior in a garden, than a gardener in a war lang ang peg hehe
