[QUOTE2701328]Once, bringing home my newly acquired car from the casa, I showed my DL to the gate guard & told him the address I was going to (which is my house, the address of which is printed on my DL). He was going to call my house to confirm as to whether they are expecting anyone by my name. I asked him "Seryoso ka tatawagan mo bahay ko para tanungin kung dun ako nakatira?"[/QUOTE]
"if they can not go up to our level, we have to go down to their level."
if he were smarter than you, he would be driving the car, and you, the guardhouse.
a well-known, great man said this. he has since passed on. bless his soul..
Juan Martinez's account is suspended for 1 month for threatening a member through PM. The mods of the board are at consensus that Juan Martinez has gone too far.
Cry baby....bad trip nga...
Are you happy now?

Kung ang motto ng PNP ay "To Serve & Protect", sa Security Guards naman ay "No ID, No Entry"
If you live in a gated village, you'd appreciate the security, after all, that's the reason why you pay them. Just don't be complacent. You still have to lock your cars & secure your personal belongings. I don't argue with guards anymore. If they ask for the ID, I give it to them. I just hate being made to wait at the gate for confirmation from the homeowner. This is why I made it a habit to call the homeowner beforehand to expect me.
many, many years ago... when xerox was still black and white and bad...
our colleague kodaked someone's gate pass and had a color print made. he then pasted the picture behind his windshield glass. and it worked..
thinking back, i-ilan lang naman kami sa lugar na yon... i have a sneaking feeling that the guard knew what it was all about, and just let him get away with it. after all... we were considered good boys by the powers-that-be...
But the boom will not go up if the sticker is fake diba? Can they copy the chip there too?

I just paid 60k yesterday for assoc dues in a village in the south. They better be strict with security as I am paying good money.

I agree. And when a home owner fully identifies him/her self , they should tone down & provide courtesy. They should be able to identify visitor from home owner and from visitor to criminals. They should recognize who provides their paycheck rather than being a robot. Otherwise they just be better off being a scarecrow.
