same pa rin usage namin siguro kung may dagdag man very minimal. Meron ako nabasa na comment sa FB ng Meralco na yung condo niya walang tao for the duration of the lockdown pero ang taas pa rin ng billSame din with the foreign vloggers that I watch, naabutan sila ng lockdown sa province pero same din, ang taas ng bill ng condo nila

Just ranting out, at least man lang mailabas ang sama ng loob. We have no other choice but to pay. Ma covid pa kami if we went to Meralco to complain. This is the problem with this country, walang consumer rights talaga. My friend's Mom went to Meralco to complain, hindi pinapasok kasi quota na ng complaints.

when we got our bill, wifey went thru the roof. then, i asked, anong basa sa kuntador natin?
she simmered down afterward.
i think she noticed, that our aircon was still running toward noontime. rare occurence before, this noontime aircon...
when she followed the meralco leaflet on how to compute the bill, tumama naman.
before we complain, find out first, if there is merit... otherwise, pampahaba lang tayo ng linya.

Don't worry dr, hindi ako makikigulo sa linya. Babayaran ko yan kahit masama sa loob ko. Useless for me to look at the electric meter because we will pay for the amount anyway. I just know that it's not accurate, same with my friends. I've explained many times already, we did NOT increase in consumption ng April and May, hindi applicable sa household namin yan because I am the only person who works here and and I work from home naman 3, even 4x a week even before the lockdown, so what is one more day at home? That doesn't justify a triple increase in bill. We paid naman April and May

Jan - P1000
Feb - P1200
Mar - P1500
April - no reading siningil and paid P1233 (average of Jan, feb and Mar) BUT The consumption is P2000
May - no reading siningil and paid P1233 (average of Jan, feb and Mar) BUT The consumotion is P2000
June - bill is P1600 + P767 bal of Apr = P767 bal from May so that is P3134
BUT that does not apply to us dahil our consumption barely increased. Example, how do you explain the guy that was out from MARCH until MAY, nasa ibang lugar at nakalock lang ang condo during the lockdown kasi naabutan outside NCR, why did he receive a bill that is more than his average when he is at home for 3 months?
I don't believe that Meralco can NEVER make an error in computation. Napagusapan namin ng friends ko, in case we over pay, baka i credit naman daw sa future bill (not counting on it though

Simple answer, really. Read the meter. Then subtract the last actual reading from your current bill.
I doubt pinalitan nila ang metro habang ECQ so the meter you are using now is the same meter you are using before ECQ, or even years before. Unlikely biglang bumilis ikot ng metro ng walang gumagamit.
Honestly natatawa ako sa nagugulat sa meralco bill nila. Hugas kamay agad until they realize nag binge watch sila sa netflix sa airconditioned room at magmasterchef sila sa kusina.
My monthly average electricity bil is around 3,500 per month. I pay every month for march, april and may, which is autocharged to my card I got my bill the other day. 21,449. Not complaining. Ginamit ko kuryente. Nasa bahay lang naman ako. Nakababad ang mga bata sa tv, youtube at netflix. Naka aircon ako sa kwarto. Gumagamit ng PC for 12 hours. Nag practice magbake si misis.

Pinapanindigan ko na hindi nag increase consumption namin during lockdown. And BTW, I am not complaining because I want to get a rebate or a discount. I'm just complaining because I think there is something wrong in their computation, and NO, I will not waste time looking at our meter, it won't make any difference because I am still paying for that amount anyway. Matuwa na lang ako na triple increase ko, unlike two of my friends na 6x.
And why is everyone ignoring the complainant in Meralco who was out of town during the lockdown and got a skyrocketing bill pa rin? How can meralco explain that?
If i were meralco, i would have all customers with complaint read their meters while the meter reader is beside them writing whatever the customer just read. Hehehe.
We do this everytime. Every 8th of the month. Ensures accuracy of billing.

Back in college one of our assignment is to create a program that will compute the pesos you will pay upon entering the kwh consumed. I bet there's an app somewhere that do the same thing, just to make sure you are being charged correctly.
