Tatlong bundok lang kami from BGC. Lapit lang. 😊 I'm the opposite. I like seeing only necessary items in the ref. Ako kasi tagaubos ng mga tira/mag eexpire.

I've been hearing a lot of negatives about the quality of Korean appliances in general.

We're very happy with our Panasonic ref. That's Japanese ba?

Yes it is. And ask any refrigerator repairman or salesman and they'll readily say that Panasonic compressors (the heart of any refrigerator) are the best.

Sorry. Prefer my location to remain incognito in case things go south. Just last December, I think 3 bags of choco truffles expired.

Reminds me I have to raid the fridge again.

Baka naman masanay sya na pag may hinirit sya sunod ka agad.

We have 1 big ref and 1 small ref that we only use when we have to stock a lot of frozen meat.

My boss has an LG inverter aircon and LG LED TV. The aircon's motherboard failed after a year and needed replacement. The repairman said it wasn't unusual for the motherboard to need replacement. The TV broke after its warranty expired.

My sister's LED Smart TV is an LG which has been in and out of repair until she handed it down to my parents as an extra TV. It broke after a month.

My wife's aunt has a Samsung inverter ref. Ref works fine but the exterior's "brushed metal" finish developed air bubbles (foil sticker lang pala) after a year and a half.

Ok, I admit 4 instances is statistically not a lot to generalize Korean product quality. But that's enough to make me think twice about LG or Samsung appliances. At least for the next year or so.

Prepped myself by fasting 12 hours for my lipid profile. Completely forgot that today is a holiday which means that all clinics are closed and that the coordinator for our HMO is not around to get me a letter of authorization for the procedure. In short, nagpakagutom ako para sa wala.

I gotta pay more attention to the days...

Isn't it 8 to 12 hours, so 12 is the max? I only do 10. Since I am incapable of waking up before 7 am, I eat something at 12 midnight and have my blood taken at 10 am or so.

Apparently, it depends on the laboratory's machine. I usually ask the laboratory directly instead of relying on the doctor's order. Some require 10 to 12 hours but this particular hospital requires 12 to 14.

yes, 12 hours is the max, if more than that, they will indicated it in your result slip, too long a fast, your body will create glucose or blood sugar from fat via gluconeogensesis....i just had my blood work, my glucose is 100... buti alam ng doctor yung history ko....

I didn't know that. Well anyways, I usually get my blood work done by the 12th hour even if the laboratory indicates it can be up to 14.

Brake pedal switch of our aircraft carrier is defective as it is always on (especially if the engine is running). Am saying this because i can turn it off when engine is off by kicking lightly on the brake pedal and so i don't have to disconnect the battery when i am parked.
