They were probably wondering if they could ask you to claim some of their baggage to avoid paying excess ^_^

i don't think i've ever traveled without any baggage. One time my uncle even sent *fresh eggs* with on my return flight(i've learned not to argue with them). Even stranger, only 2-3 eggs were broken

Oh. Is that why? Okay.

They seemed content to just look at me and not to talk to me.

I traveled abroad a couple of times alone and with only a backpack: twice to Japan and once to Germany. The Philippines would be my third. I always liked to travel quick and to travel light. It wouldn't be the case if I had my family in tow. The wife would make me wear something besides t-shirt and shorts.

Actually first time to travel light. A laptop backpack only too, actually even official short trips before i pack too much. My colleagues always tell me na turista mode yung lagi yung bagahe ko.

Enjoying it, no more waiting for the check in counters, no more waiting for the checked in bags.

See? It's nice, isn't it? Good man.

Even if I carried just a laptop backpack, it had room for the laptop and accessories, DSLR and accessories, a pair of pants, a couple of shorts, some socks and underwear, a couple of t-shirts, and my travel toilet kit.

In Manila, I did wait in line though. It was unfair to those ahead of me if I tap-danced my way to the front.

With the current atmosphere, the less time I'm in the airport, the better. I try to get away from the ticketing and arrival areas as quickly as I can.

Talaga pong sobrang dami ng mga motorsiklo....

While waiting for the train to cross the (railroad) crossing this morning on our way to work,- aba e hindi lang treintang motorsiklo ang biglang nagdatingan at nagsingitan sa mga nakatigil na sasakyan...

Ang siste,- may dalawang vans na nasa ibabaw ng riles ng train,- kaya iyong train,- hindi makadiretso,- at hindi makaabante at makaurong ang mga ito dahil sa dami ng mga motorsiklo sa unahan, likod at tagiliran nila...

Hindi pa roon natatapos,- pagkalagpas namin ng railroad crossing sandamakmak na mga motor ang naka-counterflow,- na hindi ka na makaabante dahil kasalubong mo na sila halos, plus tao pa, plus padyak pa...

Walandyo talaga!

Bro.,- in fairness ha? Malinis na ang palengke at wala nang nakaparadang truck ng basura sa umaga at bawal nang tumawid ang mga tao sa riles ng tren...

And dahilan ng trapik ay ang kawalang disiplina ng mga drivers ng motorsiklo na singit ng singit at counterflow pa at kawalan ng disiplina ng lahat ng drivers, to keep the small rotonda an open intersection... [At ang kawalan ng pakialam,- o wala talaga silang paki] ng mga kapulisan dito sa poor side of Paranaque/Taguig...

L*ngya,- ang mga pulis (or traffic enforcers) dito ang dapat sabitan ng cardboard sa leeg,- trabaho na nila,- hindi pa nila gawin ng tama!

Tokneneng talaga ang mga ito....

You're at the airport at 7 AM with an 11 AM flight? 4 hours. That's not bad.

I was there at 2 AM with a 0630 AM flight. There was already a long line of Pinoys with big boxes and huge suitcases. They all looked at me because all I had was a laptop backpack. No suitcases or boxes. Maybe they thought I was a terrorist.

Was there a hug flat screen TV complete with the orginal box?

Not on departures. Most big boxes I saw were cube-shaped.

Not sure how big your office is, but this is a good time to ask management for a backup internet link from a different ISP. If you really don't need lots of bandwidth, maybe even a portable WiFi hotspot with LTE will do.

Yeah we're in the process of upgrading from PLDT MyDSL Biz to PLDT iGate. Considerably more expensive but much more reliable.

but... you're right. hindi masyadong sunog yung mga itlog sa isang picture, at walang sauce ang karne sa isang picture.

ikaw na man... parang hindi ka umo-order sa payaso o bubuyog for half of your life.

tsaka tingnan mo yung savory ad. san ka huling nakakita ng serbidorang ganyan?
