Baby thrown out of cab by teenage mom

MANILA, Philippines -- Barely five hours after a newborn baby girl was allegedly thrown out of the window of a condominium unit in Binondo, Manila, Tuesday morning, another newborn baby girl was seriously injured after she was allegedly dropped from a taxicab by her teenage mother in Paco.

The baby's 15-year-old mother from San Andres Bukid, is facing frustrated infanticide charges, according to the police.

Investigation showed that the baby was dropped around 4 p.m. at the corner of Pedro Gil and Onyx Streets in Paco.

The suspect was reportedly on board a taxi, along with two other relatives, when the girl suddenly threw the baby out of the car's window.

Cristine Quiñones, a store owner, claimed she saw the baby falling from a passing taxi but thought at first it was a doll.

However, when she checked, she saw the baby's face and body covered by blood and rushed the infant to a nearby lying-in clinic.

Paz Irene Diaz, a midwife supervisor at the clinic, said the baby seemed all right except for bruises on the body.

From the clinic, Diaz turned the baby over to the Ospital ng Maynila and had the incident reported to the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

Last Sunday, a 21-year-old college student was arrested by the Manila Police District for throwing her newborn baby into a canal in Sta. Mesa. The baby died from asphyxia by drowning, police said.

y'know, it's one thing to get an abortion, for whatever reasons one may have...it's a whole other story to throw a living thing out a window. it just doesn't make any sense to me: why go through nine months of pregnancy, e itatapon rin lang pala ung bata? ano to, extreme cases of post partum depression?

it kinda makes you wonder what we're really "evolving" into.

or better give them to a couple looking for a child

Heard from radio news yesterday, 3 babys thrown by their very own mothers. One from the 9th floor of a bldg (although not confirmed who threw the baby), one from a moving taxi, another one left on a drainage.

Mas ***ually active na kasi mga teens ngayon coz of moral decay, easy access to **** (internet)

they don't think about the consequences of having ***...

    bahala na...

add to that ung Catholic church preaching na bawal ang contraceptives...

ayan... babies being thrown away like trash

I didnt hear any reaction from the church re the recent news...

Probably coz the church no longer considers it their problem... coz babies were born... so obviously no contraceptives were used... nasunod ang gusto ng simbahan...

    Month 1
Mommy, I am only 8 inches long, but I
have all my organs. I love the sound
of your voice. Every time I hear it, I
wave my arms and legs. The sound of
your heart beat is my favorite lullaby.

    Month 2
Mommy, today I learned how to suck my
thumb. If you could see me, you could
definitely tell that I am a baby. I'm
not big enough to survive outside my
home though. It is so nice and warm in
    here.

    Month 3
You know what Mommy, I'm a girl!! I
hope that makes you happy. I always
want you to be happy. I don't like it
when you cry. You sound so sad. It
makes me sad too, and I cry with you
even though you can't hear me.

    Month 4
Mommy, my hair is starting to grow. It
is very short and fine, but I will
have a lot of it. I spend a lot of my
time exercising. I can turn my head
and curl my fingers and toes, and
stretch my arms and legs. I am
becoming quite good at it too.

    Month 5
You went to the doctor today. Mommy,
he lied to you. He said that I'm not a
baby. I am a baby Mommy, your baby. I
think and feel. Mommy, what's abortion?

    Month 6
I can hear that doctor again. I don't
like him. He seems cold and heartless.
Something is intruding my home. The
doctor called it a needle. Mommy what
is it? It burns! Please make him stop!
I can't get away from it! Mommy!! HELP
    me!!

    Month 7
Mommy, I am okay. I am in Jesus's
arms. he is holding me. He told me
about abortion. Why didn't you want
    me, Mommy?
    Every Abortion Is Just . . .
One more heart that was stopped.
Two more eyes that will never see.
Two more hands that will never touch.
Two more legs that will never run.
One more mouth that will never speak.

I think that people who did this and those who are planning to are heartless. *you don't have the right to live

be responsible in any act you do,think about tomorrow and the selfishness act of killing a baby who couldn't fight for his/her life.

yes, things happen but still you should be firm and face the consequences of everything you do.

Probably these kids lack proper education or moral guidance (blame on the parents or barkada). I guess the church's warning that "you will rot in hell for your sins for all eternity" no longer has an effect.

babies: disposable?
