ang Cash Card eh parang electronic purse lang.. you put in money.. then kung ano ang laman you can withdraw.. or use sa EPS.. it doesn't earn interest.. at walang statement of account.

so instead of carrying cash.. cash card lang dala mo..

isa pa pala.. pag kinain nang ATM ang cashcard.. hindi na sinasauli yan.. kasi nga walang account.. so ginugupit na nila.. but you can transfer the amount still inside to another cashcard.. unlike pag ang ordinary ATM (savings) ang kinain nang machine.. eh sinasauli sa branch..

Thanks. Ito naman po ang next question ko. I was reading the BPI Express Cash (yun ata tawag nila sa Cash Card nila) webpage: http://info.bpiexpressonline.com/bpi...h?OpenDocument

May part dun about reloading pero ang tanong ko sana ay pwede mo din ba ireload yung cash card by going into the bank and transacting with the teller over the counter? Para kasing walang sinabing ganun dun sa webpage. Load via ATM, online or phone lang nakalagay.

    Salamat sa matiyagang pagsagot.

di ko alam yang sa BPI..

pero yung sa BDO.. you can go to any BDO branch and reload it.. kahit hindi mo dala yung card.. basta alam mo yung 16 digits number.

This is for gold card holders. I don't know how you can qualify for one (fat account maybe?), but the idea is those clients will have this lane dedicated to them, so mas mabilis ang over-the-counter services para sa kanila.

Back to the topic, I'd recommend BPI as well. Kung masyadong mabigat yung 3k ADB, go for BPI-Family, 1k lang.

As a former banker, please allow me to share some technical flaws in the banking system that would allow a a person to maintain a savings account with ATM AND zero (0.00) maintaining balance. There's a little requirement but none to hard, here goes:
    1. If you know someone abroad (e.g. friend & relative), which i suppose majority here have, ask them to remit some money to you or thru you either as door-to-door or claimed at the bank or thru your account.
    2. Show the proof of remittance to a major domestic bank (i.e. briskly engaged in the remittance business like ePCIB, bpi, rcbc or pnb).
    3. Due to extreme competition, these banks waive the maintaining balance on accounts tagged as "remittance accounts" thereby allowing you to open said account or even convert your existing account, depending on specific bank policy.
As for the money, initially remitted to you, i know of some who simply piggy-back on other people's remittance or whatever your arrangement with the remitter maybe, nonetheless the funds received will be proof enough for you to have a savings account with ATM & zero maintaining balance.
