Absolutely... Tsaka take note... madaming brand ang Amoxicillin... not every Amoxicillin in the market can give you a desired effect, usually the most expensive once are more effective.

First of all, why do you feel you need antibiotics? Do you have an infection? And did the doc properly diagnose what it was? (I'm sure naman, but I'm just interested to know...)

Can the docs tell what kind of bacteria u are infected with by just looking at you?
I mean they prescribe antibiotics without a bacteria culture. How can they tell what kind of bacteria u have?
U go to the doc, he looks at u, then he writes a prescription...
pano nya alam na ung antibiotic na na-prescribe nya is effective against ur bacteria? trial and error? if it doesnt work, he prescribes another?

note: Stevens Johnsons Syndrome yung nagkakaroon ng mga lesions all over the body, as in all over, yung babaeng nabalita dati pati daw sa loob ng privates niya ay meron, pati sa mata meron nabulag nga yung babae.
actually unknown pa talaga yung mga iba pang causes ng SJS, pero tumatak lang yung about sa antibiotics kasi nga nailabas sa tv. pero pwede din sa ibang gamot ma allergy, pwede ding due to viral infections like hepatitis, herpes, HIV etc.

Fighting the viral infection weakened ur immune system causing u to be more vulnerable to bacterial infection. That's why many docs prescribe antibiotics pag may viral infection. Prophylaxis treatment tawag nila dyan.
Pero, they keep telling us about drug-resistant bacteria... but they are also the ones who overprescribe antibiotics. And most of the time, they prescribe the newer ones.
Hindi ba dapat ung newer antibiotics dapat parang secret weapon? Pag di gumana ang older antibiotics, then they use the newer ones?
They are exposing bacteria to newer antibiotics agad. Giving the bacteria a chance to evolve around it.
Paano pag naubusan na ng secret weapon? Like the XDR-TB or MRSA?

go for the generic brand. you can ask your doc if there's an equivalent.
personally hangga't kaya i don't take antibiotics, mas marami pang side effects yan kesa good effect. and pag nasanay ka na sa antibiotic hihina na ang antibodies mo. vitamins supplement is good.
