Driver survives Pasig road rage

A TOW truck driver survived the ire of a trigger-happy motorist, who took a shot at him when his vehicle nearly hit his car while jockeying in traffic in Pasig City yesterday morning.
The victim was identified as Agosto Gonzales, 27, married, driver of JMF Towing Service and a resident of Block. 12, Lot Phase 2, Area 3, Dagat-dagatan, Malabon City .
The suspect was identified as Aaron Lizano, 55, married, businessman and a resident of No. 14, P Francisco St., Bgy. Krus na Ligas, Quezon City.
Lizano was arrested after the shooting.
SPO2 Roger Villanueva, case investigator, said the incident happened at 9:25 a.m. on C-5 Road, Bgy. Ugong, Pasig City when Gonzalo’s tow truck (TWN-748) reportedly almost hit Lizano’s Isuzu Corsswind, with license plate ZBS 387.
Lizano reportedly pulled a handgun and shot at Gonzales once, but missed, with the bullet hitting the truck’s left side mirror.
Lizano left after the shooting, but Gonzales driver reportedly noticed a policeman nearby a Shell gasoline station.
Riding a motorcycle, SPO2 Timoteo Baba was able to catch up with Lizano, resulting in his arrest. A cal. 25 was taken from the suspect.
