I wasn't happy with the contents of the ready-made first aid kits I saw in the drug stores, so I assembled my own using a small hobby toolbox that has a pop-out tray. Having all the stuf in one container makes it possible to conveniently lug the kit around outside the vehicle.
Contents include, among others
- Gauze bandage
- Elastic bandage
- Micropore tape
- Band-aids
- Safety pins
- Tourniquet
- Cotton swabs
- Cotton buds
- Alcohol
- Betadyne
- Meds: Immodium, Biogesic, Alaxan, Neozep
- Scissors
- Tweezers
- Syringes and extra needles
- Disposable sterile gloves and face mask
In addition, my wife has a whole bag-full of drug samples from med reps that she gives to her patients as the need arises, along with the contents of her personal medical bag.
Ako, kailangan ko pa kumuha ng official Red Cross course on first aid, pero nagbabasa na ako on my own habang wala pa akong opportunity kumuha ng classes.
Remember, you may find yourself miles from the nearest doctor or hospital, so first aid skills may allow you those vital few minutes to stabilize a situation until professional help can be obtained.Last edited by mikey177; January 3rd, 2007 at 04:28 PM.
