June 12th, 2015 09:43 AM #203Tinatamad mag-work?

June 12th, 2015 02:50 PM #206you just can't help it. it happens to any of us. one day, you wake up, and, for no apparent reason, you don't want to work anymore, you don't have the energy to work, you lack the enthusiasm to do anything, even as menial a chore as shaving. you feel like you plateau; you feel like you're in a rut. but that is perfectly normal. it all come to pass. if engines need periodic oil change and maintenance to run well, with more reason for us humans. that is why we need R and R once in a while. that is why we need to reward ourselves for a job well done more often than not. that is why we need time to decompress. and this is the reason, government or private grants vacation leave to their employees. what is out of the ordinary is, when you take a loaded gun, trained the nozzle in your temple, and . . . that's an act of surrender. that's taking a permanent solution to a temporary problem. we may retreat temporarily to take a better vantage point, but we can't afford to surrender. . . so whenever you feel tired, lost enthusiasm, lacked the energy, you take a break, oil change somewhere. . .

My German boss gives me motivation. He is a great leader. Without him I would have left many years ago
BUT my direct manager said I should not let "good relationship" be a factor. In the end it's career growth and salary pa din daw that is important. Hay.

June 12th, 2015 07:29 PM #210one of the perks of being the boss is i can do whatever i want when i dont feel like working. but majority of the time pag tinatamad ako, i use this time to build up and maintain a good relationship with my employees. a few sets of table tennis game, a game of mario cart or nba2k15 in the breakroom, or even just a chat about current events, family, relationships, etc. over a coffee goes a long way.
