I'm already sick about all the bogus claims on the internet. Now that you know that this CON issue is not a bug, you should now try to focus on why people have to make up a story about an "ignorant Microsoft and Bill Gates" so that the story will sell. I think that's where this thread is heading now, since we already know everything about this CON thing by now and there's nothing more to talk about that.

Did you read the error message when you try to create a folder named CON?

It says "Cannot Create or Replace File: The file you specified is INVALID or too long. Specify a different file name."

Why can I create a folder named CON etc. using another DOS Command named "mkdir" if they are INVALID or RESERVED ?

This is not a bug as it is specified in the MS manual that CON is a reserved word.
