My Lolos were crazy over jai alai. My Lola told me that my Lolos would regularly go to Manila and lose a lot of money betting on jai alai

It was'nt jai alai. Though the game is played in a pelota court similar in size and appearance to a jai alai fronton. We were using short racquets similar to a tennis racquet but just shorter (racquetball), not the jai alai cesta (right angled shaped basket worn over the hand).

Saan pa ba may Birkies ngayon? I wore socks over them kasi matigas yung rubber sa paa. One thing I dont like is when the strap glue gives way, start of the end na yun.

Jai alai is the most popular among Basques kasi and it is a pelota sport. Where did you play?

There are birks sold everywhere. I never wore socks over sandals. We were taught in school not to do that aside from the fact that I really prefer my feet bare on sandals

BTT: Some pieces in the locker.. adidas-goodyear collab shoes, good driving shoes aside from sanuks heheh. New balance for those trips with long walks and Sebagos for those casual in betweens. Haven't found anything more comfortable than these NBs and the Nike free I use for running. Leather shoes, haven't started investing in these sadly as we don't wear business attire in the office although I'm looking for some to wear on smart casual affairs. Nike SBs for beaters going to and fro the office.

Sa Bacolod pa, long time ago. Pelota was actually incorporated in our HS Physical Education back then. Some well-to-do families even had pelota courts right beside their swimming pools, it was that popular in our province. I was quite surprised on the fact that outside of Negros, very few people know what pelota (racquetball) is.

Exactly what i begged my better half to do. It was getting to my nerves that we have to shop for new flats every few months. i don't mind paying more for a good shoe which will last long.

i have 4 pairs so far of onitsuka shoes. i bought 1 pair from SM Megamall branch, another 3 are ordered online here overseas...nice and comfy casual shoes...

meron ako 3 pairs. all bought in Beijing. 1 pair of Mexico 66 ginamit ko everyday for 3 years. naupod yung sole. sakit na sa paa hehe bihira ko na gamitin now.
