    I would not suggest that as the so-called "air-coolers" actually use water to cool the air and at the same time, increases the humidity. In any given day here in the Philippines, especially during the summer, if you increase the humidity, you also increase the level of discomfort. Note that at 35 degrees C with low humidity would still be comfortable as compared with 28 degrees C with high humidity. My two cents...

    ...exactly, nung buhay pa yung ganun namen we eventually stopped putting ice or water. nakakapanglagkit ng katawan ang epek. mas malakas pa bumuga ang bentilador.

    Di po pwepwede satin esp indoors.

    Pag outdoors pwede, you see a lot of those sa Glorietta, Tiendesita, Market Market areas.

    Sya yung tipong big fans na nagmimist ng water from time to time. Works REALLY well sa outdoors.

    Madami nading golf carts na may ganun.

    san kaya nakakabili ng supplies nito mga water mist system? gusto ko mag DIY para sa labas ng bahay in prep for summer.

    maganda yung effect nyan sa outdoors.. got a chance to see this sa Fernwood Gardens. puro mist over the plants and trees. hanep... ang ganda tingnan.

    masama yan for indoors especially kung marami kang electric appliances, nagiging moist yung air which is bad for electronics.

    sir usually sa mga plants store meron nyan...if you're in QC, sa circle meron nyan...cost about P6k + yata if im not mistaken...yung plant section sa tiendesitas ren is selling those.

    tnx for the info. Try ko siguro yun sa tiendesitas, so under pala sya ng mga pang garden equipments. Yun sa circle ba tiangge style din yun tindahan dun?
