About SM raffle prizes?....

DO you know of anybody who have won raffles from promotions of SM chain of malls?? I always shopped at SM malls since years back and has never won in any of their raffles.. Or is this just too good to be true?? Just asking...

My wife and I know someone who won a car (1st gen Outlander), although he had to shoulder the taxes. He sold it almost immediately after he got hold of the papers.

Totoo naman siguro ang raffle nila. The sad part of it, it is not tax free. A 20% tax will be paid by the winner. I won an office showcase before from Abenson and I paid around PhP 5K for taxes + delivery fee. The fax machine included broke in a few months time.

SO it's true that their raffles are not padded....

Thought it was just too good to be true just like in Reader's digest raffle prizes....

Nanalo kami ng washing machine sa isang mall dito sa probins. Binenta na lang namin kasi meron na wm sa bahay.

Considering the entire country shops at SM, chances of you personally winning the raffles are slim.

I know a few people who've won raffle cars... we bought one off of a winner, a friend was selling one, and my Uncle won a Mazda van (the 1.8 liter E2000... not the short one, the one that's about the same size as the Grace and Besta) which he has kept for over 15 years (and is still using today... grabeng tibay!)

We kept on filling up coupons for few years now pero wala talagang swerte sa mga ganyan...

As in other thread says, ang ginagawa ng ibang clerk/customer service mga unused coupons binibigay sa kakilala nila to fillup.

Sa SM wala pa ko kilala na nanalo pero mukhang legit naman yung raffle. Sayang hindi ako nanalo ng mga Safari.

i won 5k worth of gift certificate sa robinsons mga 3 years ago.
nakakatuwa kasi i remember bumili lang ako ng 1 plain white shirt na hanes that time. i never thought na mananalo ako.

wala pa akong kilalang nanalo ng mga prizes particularly sa sm... for me naniniwala akong merong winners sa mga paraffle nila. it up to us kung gusto nating sumali... kung ayaw naman eh di wag ng pumila para kunin yung raffle tickets. tutal wala namang money involve dun sa raffle nila. kung makakaaccumulate ka lang ng certain amount dun sa mga pinamili pwede ka ng sumali. its a game of chances...
