Diyos ko.....parang konti lang ang nasiyahan sa pag raid ah......those pipol in the 168 mall dont have the papers to stay as legit businessmen. they dont even have the papers to prove they pay taxes....remember that only Filipino citizens have the right to establish retail outlets.....ang SM nagbabayad ng tax

i was in ongpin yesterday, and i overheard a conversation saying that those affected by the raid will retaliate against henry sy. uunahin daw nila yung mga malls nya sa mainland china.

what say you about the chinese immigrants of earlier generations? any idea if they are/were legal/illegal too? some of them already control the philippine economy. what's your insight on that?

filipino citizens na ang mga chinese immigrants you are implying that control the economy. SM pays more taxes in a single mall than 168. I respect henry sy's position pag sya talaga nagpa raid

agree ako sa pag raid niyang 168, kaso hindi kaya dapat unahin nila ung nasa customs o pier at parusahan ung mga andon. sigurado namang dumaan sa kanila yang mga yan eh. saka tingin ko iisa lang naman pinagkukunan niyang mga yan. pare-pareho naman tinda nila eh.

once lang ako nakapunta diyan, gusto ko sana maglibot kaso tinamad ako. ang sikip! hehehe

anyone irregardless whether one is chinese, american or indian citizens as long as one is NOT a Filipino citizen, is barred by LAW from opening a retail outlet

majority of the chinese immigrants before have acquired filipino citizenship either through the amnesty, applying for filipino citizenship or by marrying filipina wives......

sy, gokongwie, zobel de ayala, tan caktiong and tan families are all filipino citizens......

i have heard news about the chinese mainlanders plan to retaliate and boycott SM malls in Xiamen, china.....my 2 cents is that this clean up by the BOC would NOT affect SM malls in china becoz the malls are legitimate. it was even the mayor of xiamen who personally invited Tatang Sy to invest in Xiamen.....even the chinese embassy recently warned chinese mainlanders NOT to do business in the philippines if they went in as tourist......

This will be a viscious cycle....all year-long raid sila ng raid then after a few days/weeks balik na naman!

Why don't they go after the big fish? Kung wala naman yung supplier nila eh di wala din silang ititinda IMO.

sa pagkaalam ko may binabayaran na tax yun mga tiangge sa greenhills, doon mismo sa nag-ooperate ng stalls. kaya mas mataas presyo nila compared sa 168. sa 168 mall mukang garapalan talaga, kasi sobrang mura daw.

Funny how the government purposely know that most stuff sold in Greenhills, 168, St. Francis etc are smuggled and don't issue OR, but still andun padin.

govt raid them becoz of their smuggled goods, saan napupunta yung mga merchandized, most likely they will sold it (so that be smuggled smuggle goods already)

yan ang pinas live with it or leave, mahirap pumasok sa bagong business especially dito sa pinas, if pay taxes rightly la na kikitain, so i assumed 98% of pinoy investors including those big time doesnt pay their taxes to the last cent correctly, but they all know how to play the game, so dun talo maliliit na investors.

even when you ask sgv or any accounting firm they do audit a company but, they only declare this much, businessman are not stupid not to earn...

mali ang 168 becoz they sell smuggled goods, aside from the fact(?) that those were just cover up items the real item are shabu(?), e pinoy patronize them, di mahigpit govt kung maghigpit man ang govt sa umpisa lng... thats how pinoy is...

ive spoken to a pinay who marries a japanese, sabi niya duon daw bawal ang fake, sa airport pa lang check kana nila, ok lng siguro kung paisa isang bag lang ang fakes but if your bring 3 fakes like bags hold ka agad...

dapat ibahin na ang pangalan ng mall na ito (168), dapat 1tsik8 na lang, kasi puro mga chinese alien ang mga ito puro illegal ang pagpasok ng mga ito. i myself is partly a tsinoy , and i don't blame kung sina Henry Sy ang nag pa-raid nito sila nga naman ay nagbabayad ng maayos ng tax sa gov't, eh ang mga nakapuwesto diyan sa 168 hindi na nagbabayad ng tax, tinatakas pa nila ang kita nila pabalik sa Mainland, sino ang lugi in the long run, the FILIPINO PEOPLE.
