My dad's merc got a scratched/dimpled bumper after an encounter with a concrete block while parking.

    The bill for repair...

    Ouch!.

I yet have to see some MBCP members "complaining" on their repair bills hehehe ... Considering the wide array of models (both classic and new) .. the cost should probably be around the figure of an arm, a leg, and the left kidney .. :D

Is the bumper cracked? The way I see it, its just a deep scratch, why replace the whole bumper if its only a scratch? You can always have the bumper repainted.

The "scratch" is also a dimple of the length of the scratch and going deeper to a max of 1/4 inch as the deepest.

Anyway, I am having it repaired (instead of replaced) at another shop. P2,500.

Oo nga eh, baka gold flakes nakahalo sa paint instead of the usual metal flakes. hehehe

I am having it repaired at a shop I know. Price quote from that shop: P2,500.

Di naman issue yung cost kasi when buying these cars expect to pay a premium on price and service. Hirap den to trust non authorized parts sa dami ng electronics ng car

:jawdrop: Oh well ... prestigious eh. Pati price dapat. From the way I see it, it's a no biggie. Grabe yung first resort nila, bumper replacement agad! Hay. That's why you rarely see Benzes on the road. Attached to the hefty price tag is a premium maintenance fee. See. Kahit battery. HAHAHA. That's BS. Pero syempre, you gotta believe them to avoid this statement : " Sige sir. Kayo bahala. Pag nasira yan ganito ang pagawa niyan -- x,xxx, xxx " ..

That's why when you buy a Benz, be prepared for maintenance cost...

My best friend had his W212 checked because the battery warning light went on as well as the ABS light. There was also a squeak whenever he turns the steering wheel...

    Well guess what??

The battery was 17K alright... The ball joints went for 20K for both sides... The ABS module and assembly was supposed to cost 125K but CATS replaced it for free and the defective unit sent to Germany for study...

Some earlier Mercedes were easier to perform the services, but now with all that electronic integrated systems it's becoming hard to get away from the official service centers...

compare mo ang safety at comfort ng benz, ibang iba sa mga japanese car. regarding sa suspension at stability ng car, kaya halos tama lang ang presyo. pero parang mahal yang quotation sayo.

How expensive is "expensive" Mercedes Benz Edition
