Ummm... I don't think that it's anti-religious at all (and I'm a Christian btw). It seemed like some people are just acting too O.A. to this fictional book about travelling between multiverses.

Heck, if this is the case... why don't we boycott also other fantasy books/movies as well? A lot of them don't show a flicker of an Abrahamic God present (e.g. LOTR, Harry Potter).

Some of the references in the book about how the Church treated those that opposed it before is historical - so why deny it? Weren't Protestants burned at the stake for opposing the Catholic religion? Weren't free thinkers and the like burned at the stake for espousing new ideas regarding science? Weren't "witches" burned by Christians before? Didn't the Crusaders massacre the Muslim/Jew of Jerusalem when they took it?

agree with mazdamazda. the church (pope john paul 2) acknowledged the bad things the church did in the past and has already issued an apology.

oa lang ito masyado. matalino naman mga tao, they know what's real and what's not.

So punta na tayo doon on December doon ubosin natin yong pera natin sa kastiloy.

I am a christian/catholic. I hate it when christians/catholics act so close-minded that they become so unchristian. christianity is about having a questioning faith not blind faith. lets not ban this movie. what doesnt kill your faith makes it stronger. the only means to have a stronger faith is by questioning and seeking the truth. being enlightened.
