They already closed all their radio and TV networks all over the country... Only few programs and talents are left but they have switched to the Internet and cable only. Good for them since that got rid of their labor issues. No more unions. And the unions cannot run to DOLE because obvious naman na sarado sila.

With the good words ABS have for their talents in their announcements of their transfer to other stations, baka meron silang agreements na babalik sila when they renew their franchise.

Nope. Tv5 got the talents below their current Salary, sigurado yan. They got stars without the price tag. ABS talents can't demand anything right now. Alam naman na lahat they're desperate to find new jobs.

And what's the issue?

It's good because they needed a Job, better than nothing. But it's below their star status. So that's bad. TV5 got a very good deal.

FYI, TV5 right now has a show hosted by Eat Bulaga's Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola at Paolo (???).
Since Eat Bulaga is a TAPE Production show and not GMA7, their talents are probably not tied to an exclusive contract.
Also, Eat Bulaga guested some ABS Talents already - probably a subtle sign of support for those who lost their jobs.


As for TV5, they can and they should start "non exclusive" signing of talents para naman mabago yung combination ng artists sa ibat ibat shows.

Unless subsidize nila sweldo ng talents nila na lumipat, kung ano TV5 hinde ako papayag na pagbalik ng franchise balik na rin agad talents.

We have common sense plus MVP's statement that he will not hire talents just because but it has to be the right price.


He will not do the same mistakes of paying high price when he pirated ABS' talents before.

ABS' talents now has no bargaining power they're desperate for jobs.

Pumayag pa nga sila na 50% off sa talent fee nila sa channel 2 eh then pumayag na rin restructure ng contract eh ngayon mukhang no work no pay na kaya lilipat na lang sila.

In fact it was posted here that
TV5 rejected vice ganda because he was asking for astronomical pay.

if and when abs comes back, i guess they'll just develop new talents w/ potential. it would be cheaper for them and less headaches pa.

and hindi naman kilala iyan sila failon at de castro nung hindi pa sila affiliated w/ the lopez group. and baka has beens na iyan sila several years from now. iyong ilang taon na wala sila sa "glamour station" na iyan may be damaging to their respective careers.

Speaking of ABSCBN, may nabasa ako sa FB, if ABS is truly in the service of the Filipinos, why did they close down daw their radio news and retained the entertainment division?
