Seems like a racial thing nga. Sad but still proud he tried his best on a 10-day notice! Others had months, he had 10 days afaik.

Parang nothing to do with woke. Dapat nga matuwa pa mga woke na minority/Asian ang host so kampi yan kay Jokoy. Problema inulan ng criticism si Jokoy. I couldn't finish it din. Parang awkward nga.

i haven't been following show business,
so it comes as no surprise to myself, that i probably did not enjoy the jokes as much as the others..

i thought that perhaps the organizers' initial choices refused them,
and as they traipsed down the line, everyone else down the line also turned them down.
by the time they got to jo, it was only 10 days to curtain time.

someone in the video said, some of these folks take up to 6 months to prepare their spiel.

as an aside,
many years ago, the legendary bob hope admitted, that they practiced and rehearsed their jokes, so that the jokes would come out so naturally.
philippe entremont, the classical pianist, admitted that encores are rehearsed.

Not sure where I read it but when he did his show here I think that they would do some retakes of the lines if it was off so they’d redo it right for the Netflix show. Not sure if it’s true & it it’s the same with his other shows. If so, then I guess he didn’t have that luxury with this one. Plus the 10days only notice too.

He just didn't have enough time to prepare. That is the main (like 90% of the) reason.

But still, kudos to him for trying. I think he will come out of this better and stronger considering he didn't slapped someone hehehe
