Dami maganda kaso mostly hindi na available sa Netflix PH.

One gripe I have with Netflix eh yung mga recommendations nila sa home screen. Puro series and movies nila nandun. Then you will see lists on social media and internet that they have a lot of good non-netflix shows that I'm just not aware of. I wish they will have a section where all the recommends are based on your watch history.

Just watched Unhinged, Russel Crowe is a psychopath road raging on someone gave him a long horn on traffic lights. You have to suspend your disbelief to finish the movie. Logic and reasoning flies out the window.

saw Oro Plata Mata on Netflix.. first time to watched it.. sobra pala haba non more than 3 hours.. and hindi naman ako nagandahan.. mas ok pa yung original Scorpio Nights..

hailed as the late stanley kubrick's last opus and i guess deservedly so.

aside from the supposed attempt to expose what the ultra rich secretly do for their unbounded pleasure, there's so much symbolism that still flew over my head after watching it again. i had to consult today's digital version of cliffsnotes for some clarification. in other words, sakit pa din sa ulo after more than a decade of watching it

i think the film is really open to interpretation for every viewer, just as kubrick conceptualized it to be when he adapted it into celluloid i reckon.

a nicole kidman at her physical prime bares her body here w/o remorse. definitely not safe to watch w/ children, unless you want to do a whole lot of explanations and stuff.

They say that every story has a happy ending and this sums up the whole series. I thought that the 25yrs imprisonment was too harshed.... she should have given a parole. I believe what she says and I can see her sincerity I hate the district atty who prosecuted her. Overall, It's a nice documentary series with a happy ending. 7/10.

all quiet on the western front

a remake of a classic. like i said in the other thread, it's a no frills circa world war 1 film based mainly on the views of the then embattled germans. it's violently bloody and gory so it's no dinner flick.

the absence of romanticism of the bravery and the anguish of the teutonic imperial soldiers and politicians at the tail end of the 1st world war ( vs france) made the movie quite different.

First few episodes was great with the surrounding mystery behind the ship but towards the mid episode it became so much predictable that the suspense is gone. I honestly did not get some of the scenes and I have to rewatch it again probably we could get answers from Season 2..... Overall, it is a 7/10 for me.
