Yeah can't really remember what happened to Salamanca here. I remember him more in Breaking Bad.

He is in BB but we see an old and disabled Salamanca. Remember he triggers the bomb in the wheel chair killing both him and Gustavo?

Halfway through Inventing Anna.... It is just okay for me I felt that they should focus more on Anna and less on Vivian.

Kaya marami akong nasa "continue watching" list.
Happens when I just clicked based either on the thumbnail or the synopsis.
And then about a quarter of the movie, mabo-bore na ako then hanap ulit ng iba.

At least kung may rating na as a baseline I somehow know what to expect.
Kung mga 7.0+ I can wait for the redemptive arc kahit medyo boring sa umpisa.
Kapag lower than 6.0+ naman, syempre expectations are much lower.
Pero kapag nagustuhan ko yung first quarter then pwedeng ituloy-tuloy pa riin.
Again, it's not a guarantee as I have had experiences also on the contrary.

    BTT:

I acknowledge this may be not for everyone in spite of the high rating.
Kind of a slow burn with plenty of violent and gory scenes.
Dialogue is sparse and the volume is low I had to crank up the volume from the usual.

It helps there is Carey Mulligan to alleviate the slow drag atmosphere of the movie.

Hector was the old 1, Tuco 'mijo' was the 1 who lived w/ his granny.[emoji16]
Lalo, the cheerful vicious, was mentioned in BB, but only appeared in Saul.

Funny that 2050 time machine’s switch is the same lang ng any offroad LED switch.

If there's a scene in a sci-fi movie of the interior of a spaceship, chances are the controls are close-ups of a broadcast video switcher control panel, most likely from Grass Valley or Ross. Having had close interactions with these machines it is always amusing to see one being used as movie props. One of my earliest encounters with this is with the original Star Wars. Kinda gave me a chuckle to see that.

    well,
    time and again,
we notice actors playing doctors or nurses,
wearing stethoscopes on their ears, the wrong way.

some of you oldsters might have noticed,
in the movie "event horizon", the trash can in the bridge was labeled "basura".

    OT.

    OT.
    i loved that movie.
They try to predict that the future humans would have a hybrid spanish language thus the name.

Reminds me of the Short lived classic sci-fi series FireFly in the early 2000.
they are predicting that chinese/china would be the dominant language in the future.
Signs in the series are in chinese mixed with english.

    one star trek episode,
the distant planet they were visiting, was devastated by a worldwide war.
the two survivor groups, still at odds with each other, were the kohms and the yangs.
it dawned on kirk, toward the end, that they did not travel a great distance to this planet. instead, they had traveled forward thru time.

    the clue,
was the gibberish the yangs recited, while saluting some sacred relic from their past.
the gibberish was the american constitution, as it would have been spoken by un-learned children.
