i'm sure walang pakialam yung ABS dun sa driver. malamang hindi nila empleyado yun talaga, contractual lang yun or baka outsourced sa manpower services company. so don't expect any statements whatsoever for/about the driver.

ang concern niyan ngayon eh coverage para makahabol naman sila sa ratings. may issue eh. olats na sila kasi. :P

ABS-CBN to sue van driver in AJ’s death

MANILA, Philippines – ABS-CBN will sue the driver of the van that was transporting AJ Perez when he met an untimely death early Sunday morning.

The driver is an employee of Southbend Express Services, Inc., a service contractor of ABS-CBN, according to Bong Osorio, ABS-CBN Corp. head of Corporate Communications.

“ABS-CBN has studied the facts of the incident and will file a case of reckless imprudence against the Southbend driver,” Osorio said in an official statement on Tuesday.

“This is in addition to the earlier case filed against the PARTAS bus driver,” he added.

Police said Perez was with his father and 4 others aboard the van when it collided with a Partas provincial passenger bus along McArthur Highway in Barangay San Julian, Tarlac.

Initial investigation showed that the van was trying to overtake a trailer truck when it hit a incoming Partas bus.

Perez’s family has extended their appreciation to all people who helped them and showed sympathy.

"Our family is in shock and is deeply saddened by AJ's sudden death. We wish to extend our gratitude to ABS-CBN, Star Magic and ABS-CBN Regional Network Group for their immediate support and assistance.

We also wish to thank our relatives, friends and supporters of AJ for all their prayers and words of encouragement," said Charie Ortis, the actor's aunt and Perez's spokesperson.

at least... naglabas sila ng statement... "di na nila control" ang maaaring mangyari kasunod nyan... pag nag file naman kasi, di naman agad aakyat ng korte yan... sa fiscal muna.. kung willing naman makipag areglo ang nabiktima o pamilya ng biktima, hindi rin naman itinutuloy ng fiscal yung pag file sa korte... pero kung tutuusin, it's not up to ABSCBN to charge the driver also.. SOP dapat na sinoman na involve sa accident, i charge... then let the parties settle among themselves.. kung di maka settle, akyat ng korte...

ANag-overtake yung unang van. Bumuntot naman yung pangalawang van. So dahil convoy, malabong matantiya nung driver sa likod ng convoy kung malapit na yung kasalubong.

Dyan ang MALI ng ABS-CBN van. Overtake only when clear. And one by one only.

You increase the Risk factor by overtaking as a Convoy.
