I finally got to see the M3 up close at the Mazda showroom last Saturday and I was really impressed. Both the body and the interior looked beautiful - sleek and ***y.
Given its sporty lines, I believe this car will be very attractive with auto enthusiasts. I just don't know if they'll be put off by the absence of a manual transmission.
1st time to post here in ur forum. Just noticed that d mazda guys r a bit silent d past few days.
Anyways, just wanted to let u guys know that i finally have d new M3. Ordered d 2.0l but couldn't wait till 3rd week sept so just settled for the 1.6v.
All i can say is i'm so damn happy with its handling, stability, smoothness, looks and everything else I actually have to knock my head 3 times to really believe that i actually bought a mazda coz i never imagined myself owning one after the horror stories i heard about the first one's sold here in 96 (service nightmares, low resale, etc).
Guys, if u r in the market for a new car or a coding car, all i can say is what d hell r u waiting for. I've had a number of cars come my way and this is the 1st time that i really fell in love with a car bumper to bumber
IMO this car gives the best value for money + the drooling stares u get is just a bonus
hi there k700!! you can and will learn more from us protegetech guys and gals sali ka na!!! or baka gusto mo makipag mini-EB muna sa ilan saming members (pssst test drive.hihihihi..jk!) at mag inuman or something..anyways, i can forward the number of our south sector VP to you since you are from paranaque...btw, did you get it from mazda alabang? may 3 kaming members na nagtratarabaho dun ;) baka sakaling nakausap mo na sila..

yes... i highly recommend you to join the club.
balita ko mababait ang mga officers jan... hehehehe...
btw, am the VP for the North Sector (QC, Bulacan, Caloocan) and caloyski is our EVP. hope that you can indulge some of us in a test drive sometime in the future.
anymore feedback on your Mazda3? how about fuel consumption? straight line acceleration? some of the guys over at www.motioncars.com were bashing the straight line performance of the 1.6L variant without an actual test drive (they were just speculating based on the paper specs). would love to hear it straight from an owner.
am still deciding on what vehicle will replace my old 323 (errr... the horror stories that you've heard are mostly untrue... cept for the dismal gas consumption and low resale value). Mazda3? Mazda6? Tribute?
caloyski5: I got d unit from mazda greenhills. Sa sobrang kulit ko i was the 1st one to roll off their showroom last 19 Aug. I managed to reserve kasi on the pre-selling price for the 2.0L but couldn't wait. I got d 1.6v for 760k instead of 780k.
mazdamazda: as to joining the club i already registered and hope to c u guys in ur next eb.
Feedbacks:
1. fuel consumption - initially filled her up but haven't refilled yet. my guesstimate is it gets anywhere between 6.5 - 7.5km/l. will know exactly this week. as long as it doesn't fall to 6 below, i'm fine with it.
2. performance - i agree with motioncars that under 2krpm nothing much happens. power is a bit flat around 2k-2.3krpm but past that range d speed pick-up is pretty much ok. floor it and the stock exhaust emits a descent zoom-zoom note hehe (dunno if its just me & my ears hehe). i could hardly feel any lag or shiftshock unlike my past a/t civic or even my cefiro v6. u actually feel like ur driving a cvt akin to my jazz. reaching 120 is a zip for this 1.6v past 2krpm.
3. handling - i'm no expert but comparing it with my other cars, the M3's handling is beyond compare (x-ing my fingers that it lasts forever). cornering with the M3 is so smooth yet stable, firm & precise. am actually not worried about understeer for the first time. what other adjective did i miss out hehe.
cruising gives me a feeling that the car is well built that even passing through small road crevices, noise and tire thumps are kept to a minimum.
4. cons - legroom at the back is a bit cramp specially for a 6'2 guy like me (i don't mind coz i'm d one driving anyways hehehe) + no rear handle to close the trunk safely. i actually added a rear lip spoiler just to have something to hold on to but since i'm a bit makulit with scrathes, i make it a point to close it myself (i can forsee myself fighting with security guards in malls that insists on checking the trunk hehehe)
beyond those 2 things the rest of d car is excellent.
in fact, am planning to sell my paje or even my b/n jazz to get another M3, but this time, d 2.0L.
Damn, i really have to take a cold shower to wake me up from this love affair with the M3. never figured i wud buy a mazda in my lifetime and worse, mouth-off hallelujahs on what a fine car mazda is.
hope u guys/gals get the chance to experience what i did. if i wer u, i'd get one now before it becomes everybody's fave car soon.
d sya magtatampo kung bibili ka ng 3 and u still keep her hehe
darn, 5.5 - 6km/l is just like my previous accord 2.3l consumption and thats why i sold it. i think d familia likes to drink much gas hehehe. hope the new 3 doesn't
