actually Mazda makes very reliable engines, the Ford Laser during the 80's we had really had a lot of GO except for the weaker body. now i believe has the best Chassis/Dynamics in the compact car class. i would gladly replace my Civic ESi in a heartbeat with a MZ3 if only had the dough.

somebody posted that the 2.0R didn't have the SV-T (Sequential Valve Timing) or the Equivalent of Toyota's VVTi or Honda's famed VTEC. But the 2li has something else, its got VICS or variable induction system. Well theory has it that, the air requirements of the engine are different at Low and High RPM. Having a Short (&wide) Air Intake Path is good at high RPM to increase power but conversely that setup would reduce torque (also power) at low RPM driving. So in essense the varible induction length 2.0R AirBox is like having a SV-T. Probably not as intelligent as the real variable valve timing but its good enough for 150ps in JDM or USDM trim. So go for the 2.0R and have fun uncovering the extra horses Mazda PH didn't give from beginning.

tiga las pinas po ako. dumaan ako sa mazda store dto sa alabang! WATA %^$&#%! ang ganda.. sa mga naka mazda3(5doors) gud buy ba? torned pa ako sa Honda jazz o sa mazda3 hatch. pede ba ako makakuha ng mga figures sa inyo? like kung gano sha kagastos sa gaso? etc...

sa ngaun 755k sha. 5 colors. black,grey,silver,red,blue. 1.6 lang ang binebenta dto sa pinas.. malabo nga ung site ng mazda ph. hindi accurate..
