MazdaJp just announced a global recall of 640,000 diesel vehicles due to possible problems detected in the valves used in their Diesels.
The affected models include the Diesel 3, Diesel CX-5 and Diesel CX-8. 230,000 of the vehicles in Japan, and 410,000 rest of the world.
A similar fault recently forced Subaru to recall 400,000 vehicles just last week.
Let's await MazdaPh's advisory & list of affected CX5 Diesel VINs locally, if any.

Wonder if Subaru & Mazda share the same valve spring supplier.

How is that possible when Mazda 6 and CX-5 share the same engine? Anyways, Mazda 6 isn't mentioned so I should be happy.

    Different production dates.[emoji14]
Looks like they're the CX5 KF & CX8 KG series Diesels of later dates than your 6, sir.
