    How available and abundant are parts for Mazda R2 engine

    what other vehicle uses this engine that is a mazda r2 or R2 based engine.

    I know old mazda pick up also uses this, and Kia bestas? Nissan vanette?

    how common are the parts for this engine

    Good Morning... dito sa Angeles maraming engine part ng R2 engine medyo high ng konte ang price... recently overhauled kasi engine ko eh.

    Kia Besta 2.2 at Mazda B2200 pickup ang gumagamit niyan. Madaming parts. Yung mga OEM niyan mura kaysa sa mga OEM ng other brands.

    Sorry kasi ako di pa power stearing yung sa akin eh...next kung pagagawa yun na...nag tanong ako pang toyota daw lalagay nila 5500 pesos including installation.

    Ask mo si atongk naka power stearing yung sa kanya galing sa b2500

    matagal ba magpalit ng timing belt nito?

    nakuha ko ang engine di brand new, nakalimutan ko mag palit ng timing belt, madugo ba magpalit ng timing belt nito?

    Wala na yung Besta ko. I still have OEM oil filters here (dual oil filters kasi yung Besta), benta ko for the price of one.

    Fuel filter na gamit ko is yung parang sa Mitsubishi din. Yung matangkad na orange.

    No problems ako with the engine. Except a burned alternator due to a worn belt.

    sige, hehe atleast mapakanibangan natin yung filter mo at the same time maka menus ako.


    btw yunf fuel filter nun besta mo ba yung kinakabitan nya, may pump? ngayon lang ako nagkaroon ng diesel hehehe parang sarap ilaro sa putik, kaso lang baka may problema pag nilaro sa putik bigla tumirik lol

    Ang advantage nyan eh mura ang surplus engine. Mas mura sa Isuzu at Mitsu with the same capacity.

    mura ang surplus engine , spart parts/replacement mura din. baka naman dahil mura kasi nga lagi may problema? sana wag naman, so far dami nagsasabi ok naman ang engine, depende daw sa pag alaga.

    so far yung akin sa jeep ko wala pang naging major problems except a slight oil leak (need to change gaskets) and i recently overhauled the injection pump due to a minor leak (which cost Php 2.8K for parts change and labor). parts are cheap (marami sa evangelista at pasay) and the engine itself is easy to maintain. just change oils regularly.

    OH BTW: naranasan na rin mag-overheat ng R2 when I went to batangas kc may leak pala radiator ko and I did not notice it. tumirik ako but after 20 minutes of cooling it down and temporarily sealing my radiator it was running again. very durable engine!!! :D

    yung PRIMING PUMP ang tinutukoy mo. hindi titirik yan sa putikan. wait till you experience na lumubog sa BAHA. dyan mo makikita ang advantage ng 'old diesel engines' :D

    Priming pump nga yun. Halos lahat ng diesels meron nun. Para ma-bleed ang air after filter replacement.

    Dapat 50/50 [green] coolant and water ang mix mo sa R2. Aluminum ang cooling sytem niyan and some parts ng water pump. It needs the lubrication of the coolant as well as the anti-corrosive properties.

    Btw, mas maganda if you use distilled water (yung iniinom) para walang solid components na humalo sa cooling system.

    Ako rin me tanong sana since R2 engine narin topic....talaga bang nasa radiator ang thermostat ng b2200? and where po ba pweding makakita ng specification ng R2 engine? dami ko ng site na search wala kasi me makita
