    Short answer, yes.

My 2004 Mazda 3 gets 5-7 km/L in city driving, 10-12 km/L in provincial driving.

In comparison, my Civic gets 7-8 km/L in the city and 12-15 km/L in provincial driving.

Normal maintenance, same lang. Filters cost the same as with other brands.

Pag may papalitan na parts (suspension, brakes, electronics, etc), yes mas mahal Mazda 3 parts ng konti vs an equivalent Altis or Civic. But hindi naman mahirap maghanap. Marami sa Banawe. Once you find your suki and he carries Mazda parts, di ka na mamomroblema.

The main reason to get a Mazda 3 is that it drives better and has more toys than other cars in its price range. If you want better fuel economy and cheaper maintenance, look elsewhere - get a Vios or something.

It depends on which parts you'll going to replace. Oil filter, shock absorber, brake pads, these are easy to find. Suspension parts like the stabilizer link can be hard to find sometimes. Other parts that will get damaged at some point like the oxygen sensor can be difficult, most likely you will have to buy this from the casa

It depends also where you live. Here in Metro Manila, you can check out shops like MazFord at Banawe QC or Golden Isuzu Mazda Parts at Pasay.

Easier to maintain? Toyota is definitely the winner here. Honda vs Mazda compact sedan, probably not much huge difference.

    Hi!

Does anyone have an idea sa fuel consumption ng 2006 mazda 6 2.3L? Planning to buy a second-hand na well-maintained. really like the look of the car kasi. if you were given a choice, 2007 camry or a 2006 mazda 6?

and where can i shop for parts for regular maintenance? i'm guessing banawe din?

    thanks po.

Ditto. The 1st gen M3 does not have a good reputation for fuel efficiency (no thanks to Ford hehe).

Previously I used a 2008 M3 1.6L and FC is just around 6-7km/Li city driving daily with horrible traffic conditions (with ave speed of 11kph). FC from my recent trip to Bicol was only 10km/Li.

With my Ranger before, I got 12-14 km/L depending on how fast I drive and what time. The Mazda 3 is definitely thirstier than the Ranger so 10 km/L is about right for Bicol provincial driving.

It's a 10yo 1st gen M3 1.6L so FC isn't as good as it was before. It's already good imho considering that the trip took more than 12 hours due to heavy traffic from Gumaca and succeeding towns. If it was my new M3 SkyActiv 2.0L, 10km/Li would be a mediocre FC.
