    Fuel Consumption:

7.68km per liter - Shell Super Unleaded

    Comments:

    - city driving with some hataw moments
    - funny since previous reading was super low and i was really conscious with my foot (max 2k rpm). Now, i really did not care and surprisingly got better results (2.5-3k rpm).

I bought a 2006 Mazda 3 1.6s matic secondhand a month ago lang, and I'm getting only 5-6 km / liter, with a relatively light foot and light traffic. Papa-casa ko nga to soon, magiimprove kaya to? Matagal na kasing di napapacasa ayon sa logbook. Mga 2 years na ata.

One other question: gaano karaming gas nasasayang sa idling with aircon? Like on a per 30 minute basis or so

I don't pay any attention to my MZ3 FC anymore. but I just looked at the info and its at 9.9ltr/100km Or about 10.1 kms/liter. Hindi masyado light foot.

I think the biggest factor is that when accelerating from standing still, I turnoff the A/C and turn it on only when I get the second gear.

with this practice, are you prepared to replace your a/c compressor prematurely for the sake of savings in gas?

when we say prematurely, how much faster is that? My last car lasted 7 years with me before I sold it and wala naman aircon related problems. Maybe the cars of today is built better to withstand punishment older cars couldn't take? I dunno, just asking.

But anyway, nakakatamad din naman minsan patay-buhay. Its been days since I did it. Pero nakakatipid sya.

btw: Consistent na ung car ko 10-10.5 liters/100 kilometers. Hindi na nawawala sa range na ito.

My Mazda 3 1.6L V A/T 2010 model is consuming 6.5 to 7km/L. Light-footed here and mostly using the paddle shifter with minimal acceleration and aircon usage. Seldom in traffic and mostly used in Edsa and highways. Anyone experiencing the same? Pls share.

Nice! has anyone tried the acetone though??
I wouldn't leave my spare at home though..with the roads we have here in the Philippines..it's like sky diving without a reserve parachute.

Yung acetone sa 2 wheels ko lang ginagawa yun meron naman effect great acceleration pero sa 4 wheels never pa na try.
