Mazda fuel Consumption Database

Ang lakas pala ng FC ng CX-7. We bought our unit last month and up to now we havent computed the consumption yet. Its not the habit of my dad.

Pero kakagulat ibig sabihin halos kapareho lang sila ng ford sport trac 2001 ko? whichi averages 4km/l on city. The most I can squeeze it out is 4.5 mixed driving.

i posted a more detailed report on the FC (using both on board computer figures and manual computation) in the CX-7 owner's thread. its definitely not 4.5km/l although on very very bad traffic conditions, i.e. standstill, and purely city driving (not mixed/absolutely no highway) it is possible . FC was computed on moderate traffic condition with an average speed of 15km/h

Try to have your car's motor oil changed and tuned regularly -- replace sparkplugs, check/clean distributor, replace oil, air and fuel filters. Timing is also the key to a healthy car.

How do you compute the consumption? Best way is to fill it up (full) -- use the recommended octane rating -- and reset your trip meter. Then after a few trips and/or your tank is half full, fill it up again. Divide the number of liters by the number of kilometers listed in your trip meter.

mazda 2 hatchback/sedan FC anyone?

when i got my mazda2 sedan m/t sa greenhills dealer, it had 1 bar of gas. i put 10 liters of gas sa m2 sedan m/t ko which placed an additional 2 bars of gas sa fuel meter ko, so 3 bars total. although i dont recall yung km sa odometer (i just called my SA if na record niya yung km), nakaka 110km na ako, and im down to 1 bar although nag 1 bar palang kagabi.

sabi sa manual, mag fa-flash yung 1 bar and yung letter E (empty) pag "malapit" na maubos yung gas. pag nawala yung 1 bar at yung letter E nalang natitira mag flash, you better get gas na, pero tatakbo pa ata car.

yeah, but am hoping that such FC is okay considering the ff:

1.) traffic sa emilio aguinaldo highway this holy week, tas palagi kami drive around tagaytay for our meals (so parang di siya pure highway FC).
2.) 3 adults kami with a lot of stuff (was thinking that the computation of C magazine's FC has only 1 driver? can anyone confirm this?)
3.) less than 1,000 km palang odometer (i read somewhere gaganda pa daw yung takbo after 1,000km)
4.) baka meron recommended gas and tire pressure? (yung factory preset at 30 yung tire [which is the max])
