my current FC is 13KM/100L pure city driving. I use Shell V-Power Nitro+. Even if the octane rating of the V-Power is 97, I seem to like the acceleration better than the Blaze which is 100 octane.![]()
Hindi kaya 7.9li/100km ito?
(If so, it gives 12.65kpl! Still a good FC. City Driving ba Bro?)
About this one, 13li/100km = 7.69kpl?
(...it seems this is a city driving! Still common to a 2.0li modern engine.)
This is a very nice FC (17.67kpl) sir Larry! Off the chart for a modern 2.0engine car.
Hmm, different FC for three (3) different owners. To sum it up, it is roughly 12.5kpl!?
Haha sorry! My average FC now is 7.62 km/l pure city driving. Sorry for the confusion. 2,952km total.
Trip meter & manual calculation are true only for a continous trip, once you turned off the engine especially for a long period of time, the trip meter will reset by itself.
Pag putol-putol ang byahe, yung pinakahuli lang ang mareregister, at hindi average nung all trips.
Onboard fuel economy computers are off by at least 5%... up to 20% for some cars.
In city traffic, try to apply fuel saving techniques to minimize consumption. The CX-5's direct injection engine is very smooth off idle, and you can accelerate from very low rpms. Accelerate from low rpm at high throttle openings in pulses, then let off and cruise to the next traffic light/traffic stop/intersection or choke point.
I believe that at a steady 60-70 km/h, the CX-5 should be capable of well over 20 km/l over long trips. I've seen around 18+.
One writer in the US did a 300 mile trip at a steady 60 mph. That's around 400 kms at 96 km/h. Got 27 km/l by the trip computer, calculated it out to 23 km/l when corrected via full tank measure and GPS odometer correction.![]()
