Tanong ko lang mga bossing about this car... ok ba 'to? Napansin ko lang sa Car Exchange forum na mura yung selling price nito compared to other mid-sized cars... (corona, galant, accord...)

    bro,

kunin mo yung may integrated spoiler... yung parang hatchback! ganda nun sobra! :D

hindi naman mahirap maghanap... you just have to know where... oks pa naman parts availability...

actually, mas madali pa nga kaysa sa honda... hahaha...

but it is till not comparable to toyota...

sadly, the main reason for the low resale value of the 626 is because it's a mazda, and mazda doesn't have as much resale value compared to the other japs like toyota and honda. plus, the fact that mazda has been "orphaned" in the philippines doesn't help in keeping the resale value up.

fundamentally, the car is great! i'd agree with pajerokid, na pinaka-gwapong 2.0L car in its day ang 626. IMO, it was the least daddy-like among its rivals when it came out.

as to fuel mileage, i've gotten 8-9 kms/L on my '95 MT.

if your planning to get a 626, be sure to get it in prime condition as much as possible. the 626 is rarer than the 323s, meaning parts are hard to come by. however, it does give you great performance once you get it in good condition.

it's a good car naman and maganda ang porma kahit stock lang angas na, spacious yung interior. sa parts mas mas mahirap ng konti pero available basta alam mo kung saan hahanapin. sister ko may a/t na 626, pero plano na ibenta dahil masyado malaki para sa kaniya. Post ko na lang once she does.

i also agree na sa lahat ng 2.0L car it was the most gwapo and ma-porma during its

    time............

nice car ang Mazda 626 IMO lang ha?!

    eurodreams,

may casa pa mazda... signet balintawak... yung sa signet boni di ko lang sure... pero dun sa balintawak oks naman ang parts availability and service.

or you can source parts in mazda specialty shops (fordland, chandler) and have signet do the job for you.

for suspension related problems, mida's still carry parts for the mazda.

    access,
i would've but my officemate has sort of a lock on it already. if he backs out, then c eurodreams naman ang kukulitin ko.

    eurodreams,
i usually have my PMS done at Caltex Alabang. as to parts, i try to have them source for me. and like M said, it does give you great performance if it's in good condition. sarap ihataw, medyo mabigat nga lang pero ok coz mas steady ang takbo. (diba M? :mrgreen

Anong engine code ng 626 mo? All locally sold 626s were of the same generation and engine code, as far as I know... it should be impossible for you to get the wrong distributor

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

buying a new dizzy locally is crazy! it's like 1/4 the residual value of the 626!!!

that said, the local 626 has an FS01 distributor. they're all over ebay, see ebay sellers "distributor king" and "flying pat"

mga $170 to $180 lang. i'm tempted to snag one before the peso/dollar gets much worse...

on a side note i fired up the 626 the other night after several months of it sitting on its slot (before that, once a week lang nagagamit). it produced this annoying taxi like belt sound which disappeared after a while. but the engine still sounds great.

too bad i can't get rid of the wet dog carpet smell so my wife refuses to ride in it.
