June 8th, 2009 11:15 AM #1Hi Guys,
I have a question regarding my car's RPM. Pansin ko almost constant sa 2k ang RPM ko kahit anong gear pa ako, except when in reverse. Nag-iiba lang siya when I'm shifting up... tumataas to about 3k. Pasensya na, I haven't had a car for a long time, at wala rin ako masyado alam sa kotse.
TIA

June 8th, 2009 11:32 AM #3Manual siya, boss. So normal pala ang 2k? Tinatry ko pa kasi makasanayan yung unit. Just bought it a couple of days ago -- 2nd hand. Kala ko lang cause for concern yung RPM niya. Maraming salamat!

nasa gear ratio yan bro, kaya tama yung 2k rpm.
since manual ka naman, if you are shifting, you can also shift at the 2k-2.5k level for optimum fuel consumption.

June 8th, 2009 12:12 PM #8I see. Mejo nabawasan ang concerns ko. Pwede ko na tanggalin sa list ng kailangan ko ipa-check/paayos. Maraming salamat ulit!

MT5, ano yung RPM kung naka neutral (engine warm already)? Dapat 800-1k rpm lang.
Kung 3k rpm (like when shifting), then you could just adjust the throttle down, usually via an adjustment screw.
But if you just got the car already at that state, baka my low idling problem (namamatayan) kaya the seller may have adjusted the rpm that way, which should not be.

June 8th, 2009 01:24 PM #10*Autobeat. Check ko mamaya, sir, when I get home, kung ano yung RPM during idle. Wala akong alam sa pag-adjust ng throttle. Saan ba ginagawa yun, sir?
Be careful with channels like "China Observer" on YouTube. There is a clear bias in their posts and...
