I've heard of this issue for Mazdaspeed3s, but not for the smaller displacement Mazda3s.

Will look it up with ProtegeTech and Mazdaforums, then report back.

First, engines that can only accept 93 RON fuel. Now, engines that literally fall off. IMO, highly doubtful.

Hindi kaya biktima ng black prop ang Mazda?

This is to advise details of Mazda 3 Recall from FMCP.

As informed by Ms. May Tanio (J48L PD/LVT), there were reported occurences in other countries of "fail starting" issues which is caused by some interference between a related wire hareness and some part inside the engine room. Although there were no reported occurences within Asean markets, the said recall is a pro-active move to avoid possible customer complaints and inconveniences.

Recall Activity will be basically checking the said wire harness and will be replaced if found affected by the said concern as affected part nos. has been identified already.

    For your information.

    Thanks for the info.

But the formal recall announcement above doesn't say anything about faulty-by-design engine mounts or falling engines. Hmmmm.

Baka siguro nakakarma dito pinas.

    And?

All that post means is that the previous group to bring in Mazda failed to support the market. The lack of parts isn't actually a problem anymore.,.. I can even get electronics for my 626 if I actually felt like fixing it up. (It's only mothballed because I don't have the budget to care for all of the vehicles in our garage).

If a mechanic refuses to fix it because he doesn't know where to get parts... that's because he's an idiot who doesn't know where to get parts.

If a 1994 car overheats... that's because nobody bothered replacing parts that needed replacing. A 1994 car is old. My 626 went through an overheating phase, too... because of leaking hoses and a leaking water pump... but at that time, it was ten years old. Now it'd be 15 years old. So did my cousin's Civic. So did another cousin's Corolla... it's not a problem limited to Mazdas.

And low resale is not limited to the 626. Most midsize cars have terrible resale because people don't want old gas guzzlers... they'd rather buy a smaller car secondhand.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

    *niky,

you have to forgive jpdm. He sees "big boy" conspiracies everywhere!!!

that said, most mechanics don't like to work on mazda's due to the cramped engine compartment. and most mechanics are idiots, BTW. i am not constrained from saying this because i've done a lot of DIY work on my 626 and i've seen the level of skill that the typical mechanic brings to the table.

which of course is no surprise, given the job market for mechanics...

which also implies that most mechanics are full of sh*t.

    QED.

Seems like you have a lot in common with mechanics who always recommend to take out the thermostat just because we're in a tropical country.
