July 11th, 2022 01:00 PM #11actually the pins get stuck coz non-silicone greases can attack the rubber boot, then you get holes in them, water gets in and corrodes the pin and the hole it goes into
for the caliper pins i just use plain high-temp silicone grease (no solids). this part doesn't need a lube w/ solids like ceramics and metal powders
for the other parts like the brake pad tabs and shims you may use a brake lube w/ solids

yeah you got corrosion in that one pin. water got in somehow, these pins were 13yo when i took this picture. no corrosion, and no wear coz caliper pins aren't subjected to high loads. so use a lube that doesn't damage the rubber boot (plain silicone grease)
as for lubricating the contact points around the brake pad... well the pads can get super hot which boils off the oils from grease that's why metal powders are used (copper, silver, nickel, etc. even ceramics).
just did a quick search... BYD e6 - Wikipedia Yung 1st Gen BYD e6 pala was released in 2009...
