You're still better off with the Lancer EX CVT. 153hp/199Nm. Power:Weight is just right kaya matipid (and obviously because of the 7-speed(?) CVT transmission).

Is this the basis of SAs from Mitsu dealers why they claim FC(City) of Lancer 2.0 is 11 km/liter? If 11 km/liter is true, matipid sya and you can get almost the same Hp as the Civic 2.0L.

Independent tests locally have netted good FCs both highway and city.
Reading reviews from US is okay but it's attuned to their local setting and audience, remember, their roads are different and people there drive differently. Ever wonder how they end up in 3-dozen car piles most of the time in their freeways? hehehe.
Best thing to do, in any case, is a lengthy test drive with an objective mind. ^_^

March 16th, 2009 12:32 PM #60About FC:
I am testing my FC by batches of 20 liters. That is to say, I wait for the yellow low gas indicator, put 20ltrs, then wait for yellow indicator again and see how far Ive traveled and compute from there.
Trial 1: City: Traveled 182kms - About 9kms/ltr (Pasig,Ortigas,Antipolo -- Mostly Light traffic )
Trial 2; Highway: Traveled 255kms - About 12.5kms/ltr (Pasig,Batangas,Tagaytay)
Trial 3: City: Traveled 169kms - About 8kms/ltr (Pasig,Ortigas,Antipolo -- Light-Heavy traffic)
Note: wala pa 1000 kms car ko. Ill retest when I reach 1000, 3000 and 5000
it would take a good load of checking, and even then, things could always still remain honestly...
