It's a just a typo. I've driven the CX-7. I've got the Mazda brochures and price lists. A bunch of people here in this thread own CX-7s. And they're all 2WD.

    got this from wikipedia.
Only Touring and Grand Touring models are available with All-Wheel Drive and only these two trims are offered with the 2.3L turbocharged engines while the SV and Sport trims come with a 2.5L MZR naturally-aspirated DOHC four-cylinder.

I reckon i was given a quotation signed by an account manager from GH and there stated in the CX-7's feature saying that its an AWD. Though i got the 7 from Mazda Alabang , I wish dealers should edit the docs that they provide us clients so as not to bring confusions to the will-be buyers/owners.

TopGear definitely got it wrong. Too bad the local CX7 is underpowered. If you enjoy the local CX7 with its current specs - you'll definitely love the turbo-charged GT even more.

    Sorry for the late update.

While I got my iPod adapter kit last June, it took a few weeks of coordination between me, Mazda Alabang and Ford Group Phils, about it. Then I was away most of July and August, so I was only able to work on it 2 weeks ago.

Anyway, I sent them a scan of the installation instructions to show them how relatively easy it should be to install and to prove that it was an original Mazda accessory for the CX-7.

Their position was that it was not an authorized accessory installation locally and they did not want to be responsible in case anything went wrong. I understood their position and agreed to sign a waiver before they would proceed with the installation.

They wanted 3 days to install it and do a quality control check to make sure everything works. But they called me after a day and said it was ready.

So I'm now rocking the streets with this:

I guess I was their guinea pig because Mazda Alabang told me they would be ordering kits for those who want one installed as well.

Hi guys! just wanted to ask if you guys also notice that everytime you hit ryt about 60 on the speedometer, the stereo volume would somehow increase a bit..and when you decelerate it returns to normal volume..try it on the highway..

That's the ALC on your stereo. Read the manual to see how to adjust it.
