Hi, I've been reading this thread for a while and almost all posts are very informative and helpful especially to people like me who is currently on the look for a new ride... and hopefully its a CX7! =)

Me and my wife just came from a Mazda branch which is very popular in this thread to make our first inquiry about the car. I was told by the SA that the CX7 is a CBU made in Japan.. is this true? I would just like to confirm this because I am just curious how come it is not priced like the Rav4 which is also a CBU from Japan which is priced a little more than 2M?

yes, it is a CBU from japan. this was one of the deal makers for me. my last japan CBU vehicle was very reliable and gave me little or no headaches at all

I just want to check how much insurance did you guys pay for your CX-7. Anyone of you got the insurance outside the dealer? Thanks for the advice.

Kamura mo nakuha insurance mo! The dealer quoted my 40+K and 1% participation fee. Yung nakuha kong insurance, fixed sa 3K participation fee.

    What's you insurance pala?

sir niteman, musta na? Sorry, 'been very busy hence i was not able to attend Montero Club early organizer's meeting, but i supposed the team did a great job forming the club!
re CX7, i would definitely recommend it! yup CBU from japan. But you have to compare it with RAV4 2WD since CX7 has only 1 variant here and that is only the 2WD, which is priced almost the same. but value is more...since it comes with leather seats, side/curtain airbags, DCS/TCS, mid, cruise control and much more luxurious interior.

the only useless (at least IMHO) add on for the philippines are the heaters for the 2 front seats. it would have been better to remove this and replace it with some other add on such as ash tray or ipod cable, or dual mufflers, to name a few. but i guess since this is a japan CBU model, then it is expected that there will be heated seats since this is the same model being sold in other countries where there is winter

si j*sto, kmusta din sir... oks naman ang MSCP, going strong (sorry OT).. so CX7 ka na pala ngayon.. hehehe...

We're planning to buy a car for my wife and we're really interested to get the CX7.. ganda inside and out...

Thanks for the advice sir. This is one thing that I am considering, if it is locally made or onshore. Hopefully we'll also be a CX7 owner soon! then we can do an MSCP and CX7 joint EB!

Hi guys. It's my first time here in the forum.

Just got my CX-7 last Monday (in black), and am loving it. I've always loved the CX-7 since seeing this in the US during my last visit there. Good thing Mazda Phils finally brought it in. Is it true there are only 200 units in the Phils so far?

Plate at last already arrived. Mechanic fabricated plate garnish at front so I can use bolt screw........front bumper removed so sabay na rin installation ng HIDs in both low beam and fog lamps.

The first batch of CX-7 owners last Nov to Dec. 2009 are about 150 to 170. Then there were only handful of deliveries in early 2010 until March. In April, the second batch of CX7 arrived here(hundreds of them). Now I think CX-7 owners ranges already from 200 to 300 at present. No more waiting lists.

BTW, I wish Mazda Philippines should consider introducing a stripped down version of the CX-7 without the luxury features priced maybe at 1.3M or lower. This would be very competitive versus the 2010 Honda CRV, 2010 X-Trail and soon to be launched and promising 2010 Kia Sportage IMHO.

hi lamborghinione! thanks for the info. anyway, CX7 i supposed is made for that- with luxury features. if mazda will downgrade CX7's features definitely will be a less pogi point/s on the unit. personally, i opted to choose CX7 above any other SUV's coz of these. "CX7 is not an everybody's car", i dont know if you will agree? hehehe! good day guys!
