Anyone here using UniOil's Euro 5 petrol? The review claimed this petrol made the M3 run much smoother:

On the road, the Mazda3 itself proved to be fun and dependable. It’s a great runabout, consuming half the fuel compared to our compact crossover while returning double the fun when driven long distances. It’s worst economy figure of 7.63 km/L easily matched the best our all-wheel drive crossover could muster in traffic, while its best figure of 15.62 km/L done on the highway, could easily match some diesels. We did runs with both the i-stop on and off, and with the system on, you see gains of 10-12 percent. Translated to peso savings, based on the distance we traveled, we saved P 4,258.24 based on current gas prices (or 316.3 kilometers or 8 trees based on the Mazda3’s fuel economy monitor). And though Mazda recommends Shell Fuel Save Unleaded, we recently discovered that UniOil’s Euro 5 fuel actually made the car run a lot smoother.
What are you currently using Sir Jojo?

I use Shell V-Power since day 1 of Mown3rship. It's 50 cents more expensive than FuelSave at my favorite Shell station so I figured why not go for the premium.

Most likely not. Compared to UniOil, it's more convenient to find a Shell station with my favorite petrol here at Metro Manila and at the provinces.

Just tinker with the settings on the HUD and you'll find it somewhere there.

    Enjoy your M3 boss!

It must be that the setting for your PMS reminder is set at 1000. If it is, it will blink to remind you that you are less than a thousand kilometers away from your next PMS.

I reckon the mediocre American car brand mentioned in the article is Ford.

Hopefully mine is just an isolated case but since owning my mazda 3 they had already replaced both shock insulators , lower arm bushing and now next on the list is the front engine mount... are there any one of you guys had these same issues as well? still getting a tok sound whenever I enter our garage specially when the right tire goes on ahead the incline (I enter it diagonally)...

How much have you on the odo, doc? Did they do the spring protectors 1st? That sound is almost always cured by those 2 cheap pcs of rubber.
I've a coupla buddies who've clocked over 100k. Excluding battlescars & dings, all they did was basic periodic maintenance...brake pads, fluid(oil, coolant, brake fluid) swaps & soon, planning tranny fluid & filter. 1 has had to replace a torn CV boot, & belt tensioner. The other refreshed the front rotors. Suspension seems to solidly hold.
Mine is just about halfway theirs. Apart from some mild mods, it has only had yojin done.

Around 17K on the odo... Really is a downer considering that I've been meticulously driving it by avoiding potholes and going slower on speedbumps... am just scratching my head on what the deal is with my suspension.

If its any consolation, a lot of Mazda Skyactiv owners also have that "tok" sound. Even the Mz2 has it. The casa solution seems variable/case to case and for some, non-existent. I know of one na pabalik-balik at kung anu-ano na pinalitan. Andun pa rin.

I have the same problem since day 1, that tok sound coming from the front right area. It's noticeable when going through steep speed bumps at my neighborhood. A few months ago the tok sound got louder and upon inspection of the engine bay I saw the wiper fluid hose at the top right area of the engine bay not securely fastened. I suspect the tok sound is not coming from the suspension but likely to a loose hose or wiring inside the right fender.

Did they put this KDY534081 part on your front springs, doc? This usually silences that symptom.

If not, ask em. They might've been replacing parts unnecessarily.

Mine is 20k+ km on the odo. Also has a noticeable noise on the front driver side suspension. What the casa did was put a shock insulator, but the noise is still there when on bumpy or uneven road surface. Will have them check again. How can they not pin point the problem? It's frustrating!
