September 14th, 2010 02:11 PM #1Hi am new here,
Have a hard time identifying right part number for an 'Idle Control Valve' which does not seem to be available anymore locally, so have to search overseas, but the 323 seems to be also called the Protege, but engine is listed as a 1.5L. My Engine is callled a B6DP00...there's just too many available and don't want to order the wrong one. Can one noit identify by chassis number ?
Thanks for any help.

September 14th, 2010 02:20 PM #2Sir you can check Mazda part dealers in Banawe (Karmelcon, Mazford, Autorama etc) or Kia Pasay as I'm quite certain they still have IACVs for sale.
There are two types of Mazda B6 engines: single cam and dual cam.
Locally, the IACV is only available for the dual cam since it's EFI.
More Mazda people can help you at:
www.mazdatech.org
You'll find out what you need to know there.

If you want to order from abroad, get the IACV for a B6 DOHC or 1.6 DOHC.
Be careful with channels like "China Observer" on YouTube. There is a clear bias in their posts and...
