Gd am mga sirs. Would like to ask your opinions/comments sana. Is it wise to purchase an entry/base level CX 9, instead of a top variant SUV (Everest/Fortuner)? Yun lang ang limit ng budget for now. Maraming salamat, stay safe!

If you can buy a gas-fed vehicle worth 2M or more, paying for gas should not much be of a concern for you. You have the means to buy, maintain, and operate the vehicle so I doubt you will cheap out on fuel expense. Hehehehe

CX9s are not known for it’s good resale value, as I know of. My sister has a CX 9 she’s been trying to sell for a few years now w/no takers. It has a bad rap for it’s poor fc. I would presume people who’d buy 2nd hand ones know this & got it cheap will convert it to LPG units. Brand new unit owners will never do this to their CX9. Dba image is everything?
kasi taas presyo ng gasolina sa atin eh.. i use 1.2L picanto then i switched with 2.0L Mazda 3, parang same lang sa consumption.. sa kia picanto nakaka 10-11 kms per liter ako. ganun din sa mazda 3.. hindi po ako nagtitipid sa tapak sa accelerator.. gusto ko yung na raramdaman ko yung hatak..
Whats a fair price kaya for a used current gen cx9? Cheapest i found in fb marketplace is around 1.7m and seems to me still no taker.
Say one buys it now for 1.7m, how much kaya selling price nia in 5years?
My body that needs a comfortable car wants a cx9. My mind tells me to choose between a prado or fj so i dont lose as much money overtime.

FJ has huge blind spot ... Prado 2nd hand is still priced high ... but buy a vehicle for your needs and satisfaction ... would not factor in resale value too much ... you can try one of those cheap flagship german sedans with air suspensions for ultimate comfort ... A8L, S350 / S500 ... or a Porsche Cayenne 1st gen with air suspension ...
He's leaning towards resale. FJs have been holding well. Personally, I prefer the bare basic 120 over the 150. Currently priced like compacts, a lot of car for the money. Those euro-premiums? I love to look at them....owning is a matter totally not for me. CX9 ownership will be way easier & migraine-free.[emoji16]

If resale is a top priority then the Diesel Prado can probably holds its value better than the other choices. The FJ does hold it value well too.
Another option is a Lexus RX350. not as good a resale as a diesel prado but you get both luxury, power and a Lexus/toyota resale boost.
Oo nga, at 1.7M cash, better get na lang brand new. 50% down, and low monthly.
