Bermaz doesn't intend to bring more MT 2s. This decision was market-dictated. The Sky auto has proven to be more fuel efficient & quicker than the stick variant anyway.
On wheels & mods, I prefer taking some time to enjoy the journey. The 2 doesn't need much sweetening....Resharing here some pics lost on Photobucket of the enjoyed & driven hobo....

Should anyone want to spare drilling the grille for plate placement, PM me here for the M2-specific No Drill Plate Relocator. Still have some left. Thanks.

Would you be kind enough to share some links or articles for the claim that
AT skyactiv is a better performer than the MT?

That would be and interesting read.

Im still a believer that an MT is more efficient and delivers more power to the wheels vs an AT.

I've test-driven the AT before, and yes, malakas din sya,
yung launching from stop lang ang medyo hindi ako sanay, there is a bit of lag,
but after i got it rolling, maganda nadin ang pick-up.

-ano pala size ng wheels and tires mo? nice set. and offset din. no rubbing issues?

hay.. oh well.. was planning to purchase by nov-dec this year.. but all MT stocks would probably be gone.
sabi nga nung SA sa mazda cavite: "sana lang sir may matira pang manual pag balik nyo ng Nov"

Also what color did you get? ang sabi sa amin yung available na lang daw is white for the HB MT.

also won't that be a cause for concern kung limited offer lang ang MT? bka pahirapan ang parts?

216 Mazda 2 EPA Fuel Economy Is Out, The Car Isn't - News - Car and Driver | Car and Driver Blog

"With the six-speed automatic, the 2016 Mazda 2 gets 33 mpg city and 43 mpg highway, a major jump from the old car’s 28/34 mpg. The six-speed manual isn’t far off at 31 mpg city, 42 mpg highway, again a major improvement over the 2014 five-speed model’s 29/35 mpg. The Mazda 2 uses the company’s new 1.5-liter Skyactiv four-cylinder, which boasts direct injection, high compression, and other internal tricks."

Mazda sold all MT sedans they initially brought in. A fraction was taken by driving schools....imagine the abuse. I've talked to an instructor friend who couldn't stop praising his prized unit. Due to heavy daily use, abuse, & miles, he was able to easily swap in a new disc for a coupla Ks. Parts are available & affordable.
The limited stick hatches come only in white. These were meant for the track market. Hurry....once they go, we might not see em anymore.

Ronal R85s might be a challenge to find. Rota RBs look similar.

I see thanks for the reco sir. How's the steering? Is it still the same compared to the accuracy when the stock mags are installed? Are these 18 or 17 mags?

17x7. Go with offsets 38 up. Opted 205/50 for slightly higher sidewall over 205/45. Comfier. M2 hub bore is 54.1mm. Steering is precise & even better with a smaller diameter steering wheel.
Choose lighter wheels. Lower unsprung weight will give you benefits in steering, ride, response, braking.

Won't changing will void the warranty?

By the way I'm finally getting my Hatch MT tomorrow. What can you say about ceramic coating? There's a shop near my home which offers it at 8.5k for compact cars.

Suspension warranty perhaps, but I know & have worked on Mazda suspension....it's pretty solid.

The shop is in Marikina, kinda far from where I live (Laguna). I wonder if ceramic coating is worth the price though. Do you know of shops that sell Mazda2 accessories?

Tech Details can come to you.......esp for coatings. He's very passionate about personalized service & quality. I usually don't let others work on ours, but I would let him. On accessories, call Lamson Digital +639185353975 & Jianwei +639054057266.

Hi guys, so I got my Mazda2 MT Hatch yesterday from Mazda Alabang. I topped up 300php worth of gas in the nearby gas station and drove in heavy traffic in alabang metropolis. When I arrived in calamba, I went through the bypass road in Ayala estates and the gas warning light came on, a distance of about 36km. Is this fuel consumption normal for new mazda2s?

    Thanks!

We took about 30 mins or more from south station to the tollgate so I should it was pretty heavy.

What's OVT? Orange virus tuning? I hope the FC improves by a lot. It's one of the main reasons I chose this car.
