Where's the exaggeration? I wasn't exaggerating when I chimed in my opinion that the hatch looks infinitely better than the sedan. I'd wouldn't consider buying a sedan Mz2 because of its awkward proportions but I'd consider the hatch if I was in the market.

Ok guys we get the point.

Moving on, wala yata FB group ang Mz2 Sky-Activ. I think the one posted in the previous page is from Berjaya or some casa.

The 3 outsells the 2 by a ratio of 2:1 so perhaps there just isn't a critical mass of Mz2 owners to have an active group yet. Usually, those cars with their own groups (as opposed to brand name groups like FCP) are cars that span several generations (ACP) or cars that sell well (MSCP). Maybe the Mz3 SkyActiv club could take in some little brothers and be a SkyActiv club instead? Il bring up the idea with Ritz when we see each other, maybe this weekend.

The 2 was only introduced this April and released only last month. As late as early July non-SkyActiv Mz2s were still in the showrooms.

Give it some time & start 1. Like the M3SkyFB group, this is bound to be a vibrant 1.
I do hope the M3 group will open their arms to embrace not only their Sky brethren but the M3 Maxx Mown3rs, too. The more the merrier, though I'm sure Ritz will eventually need to clone himself to handle the growing admin chores.

I just got home from my 1000kms PM. I totally forgot the rebate as well. I already received my Car Cover and the Seat Cover that is ugly AF. Haha!

Also, in continuation of my story from before wherein my SA had been subject for termination, apparently, it wasn't related on the paperworks - CSR, OR/CR. I was overcharged and asked to pay for free stuff. The TPL payment I did was overcharged by Php 1000.00 and my tint (that I paid for Php 3500.00) will be refunded to me. This is because I kept demanding receipts and my agent wasn't able to provide any. If you were asked to pay for something, demand for a receipt. :p

^why did you pay for TPL? Di ba free yan sa casa along with LTO registration?

As for rebate, inaayos pa daw ng Berjaya.

I don't know. Even my friend who availed a car at Mazda Alabang from a different SA paid for TPL. So maybe it's the prerogative of the branch/agent. I got the LTO Registration for free after haggling for it.

^and that is cash? Weird, free LTO and TPL are standard for all vehicle purchases at all casas regardless of cash or financing. They can withhold the comprehensive insurance or even tints but not those 2.

When I was shopping around for the Ranger when it was new, not all dealerships offered free LTO. It depends on how hot the car is selling. These are the first to go free, but sometimes, dealerships choose to charge even these (as opposed to giving these for free and charging DI which I think is a more awful business practice).

Well I have never experienced such a practice (Isuzu, Kia, Toyota and now Mazda) and from ericute's narrative I smell a scam. Good thing management got wind of it.

    Mazda2 MT UK 85kw: 0-62mph 8.7s
    Mazda2 MT UK 90ps/66kw: 0-62 9.4s

Our 79KW 6AT PH version should still be under 11s I reckon.
Based on the the brochure of Mazda 2 Philippines. The power to weight ratio of the 2 is at 103. Considering the new Jazz is at 108 which is already a fast subcompact car.

Just for the sake of comparing the Mazda 3 1.5 is at 90 while the Altis 1.6 is at 97.

I'm pretty sure the 2 will beat these 2 in a 0-60 mph

Possible for the CVT, but I'd bet the MT Altis still gets to 100 quicker than the Mz2.

The Mz2 doesn't seem to be able to reach 200 either.

A manual Mz2 will beat a 1.6 Altis any day.

As far I recall, a 2 liter Altis top speed is at 195 while the top spec Mz3 is at 212 km/h. Referenced C! Magazine April 2014.

Guaranteed on flat even surfaces without any downhill slopes to help your 1.6 Altis won't reach 200 again.
