No difference. Just stick with 91RON. SkyActiv was designed to use Low Octane Unleaded gasoline, so no gains for you even if you use higher octane gas. Saves you more money that way too.

If mainly for city driving, get the 1.5V. It's more comfortable due to the rim size.

Thanks mga fellow tsikoteers sa reply, it's looks like there is no significant difference between the 1.5 and the 2.0 that would justify the 200k+ price difference basing from the replies and my need, although I have to be honest I love the SOUL RED color.

Regarding the E-LOOP and I-STOP I don't think it would benefit me a lot, since I only travel very short distances, < 3 KM, between house and work, I know what everybody is thinking that I can just walk my way or ride the jeep to and from the office, but unfortunately ever since I stopped riding the jeepney it gives me a feeling of I am always on the look out for somebody who will stick something at my back and say "pare holdup ito", anyways that's another issue....hehehe...I am not sure if the battery/capacitor will be able to re-charge enough due to short distance run.

TBH, yes, hindi economical i-drive ang ganung distance. Fuel efficiency, in any car will be worse kasi stuck ka sa lower gears lang. Siguro sir, kung may ganyang mindset kayo, why not buy a bike for work and a Mazda 3 for long trips?

1.5 is already good for city and out of town trips. Yun nga lang, 2.0 is more fun to drive than the 1.5. If ever mag-test drive ka ng M3, floor down mo sir yun accelerator para ma-feel mo yun tinatawag namin kickdown/tiptoe function.

I have been thinking about buying a bike too...hehehe...but unfortunately walang shower sa office e, nakaka-irita kapag malagkit ang pakiramdam. I actually have my pickup in which I use mostly for long drive, it's just that I am planning on replacing my 10.5 gen altis. I like the roominess and comfort of the new altis, its just that I like the premium feel of the simple interior of the new MAZDA 3.

Based on your case, I would recommend you choose from the following:

    1. Buy and drive the 1.5V M3. . .or . .
    2. Don't shave so that you look like a hold-upper yourself. In that way those thieves won't bother you. hehe.

Seriously, get the M3. Its a good buy.

For me that additional airbags are enough reason for the 200k premium (especially if you have kids) and yeah the soul red if you like it. Good luck!

Also remember that car battery for vehicles equipped with I-stop costs 15-16T. Given that you only travel short distances, your battery will wear out faster than one that travels longer distances.

One advantage of the white M3 is that the license plates blend well with the car.

I think 1.5 lang ang available nila for test drives. If you want to get a feel of iStop and 2.0 you have to test drive the CX-5. You might have more test-drive options at next week's MIAS.

been back reading this and the M2 thread. dami kong tawa sa mga posts ni sir jcal68 - hehe

anyway, hingi lang sana ako ng input sa owners..

how hard is it to maintain a soul red?
could you give it in scale of 1 to 10 with 1 the easiest (silver and the likes) and 10 the hardest (black)

    Thanks!

Planning to get an M3 next month. Can anyone share a feedback of service from North Edsa branch? I might get my unit there. TIA.

Any M3 owner here experienced their A/C to smell musty for a couple of seconds after turning it on? I am feeling mildew has formed. Does anyone knows how to confirm this and also how to kill the mildew?
