i just got my black mazda 3 last saturday. i love the handling though i noticed na bouncy siya sa lubak.. im not sure if its normal.. it could also be because of the tire pressure.. matigas masyado..

i do have a question though.. is it true na ang price ng spark plug sa mazda is worth 4k and the battery is 18k? sobrng mahal yata.. considering its consumable thus we have to pay for it during maintenance..

All Mazda 3's have projector lights, even nung first gen pa. Difference with the 1.5 and 2.0 is that the 1.5 has halogen lights, while the 2.0 has bi-xenon with auto-leveling. Doesn't matter which variant.

Is it a 2.0? I'm not aware of the exact price, but I think the special battery is only applicable for the 2 liter variant. No idea on the spark plug. As for the bounce, I have no point in comparison but it probably is a disadvantage of our car as per reviews in terms of NVH.

With regards to the i-stop function, how often is it advisable to engage this during traffic? What I mean is if you'll stop only for less than 5 seconds, in every 10-50 meters could it somehow damage (wear and tear) the engine/components? I wonder if the istop will only be that beneficial if it's being used for ~30 seconds or more of being stopped.

The car's ignition system is designed to be turned on and off much more times than the usual car (hence the special battery). It won't break just because istop engages in traffic several times.

Spark plugs are PMS items, so should free under Yojin3. Ask the Service Advisor for a PMS sked so you'll see when the spark plugs will be replaced.

As for the battery, yes, this only applies to i-stop equipped models. I remember someone from the CX-5 thread said that as long as you're 6% more fuel efficient than non i-stop equipped cars, you can recoup the price of your battery within its 2-year lifespan.

Also, just a question, is the battery price that big of a deal considering that the 2.0 Mazda 3 is cheaper than rivals, and already comes with Yojin3?

Hi everyone, we got our deep crystal blue 2.0 M3 last Friday from Mazda Pasig. So far everything is fine except for the steering wheel that is a bit off-center. I might have it and the wheel alignment checked this Saturday.

I'm not fond of the temporary plate with the conduction sticker number that they placed. The conduction sticker number printout has already been damaged after a single car wash.

Now I'm thinking of getting the conduction plates made of metal. Has anyone already had these conduction plates made? Could you recommend a shop or store? I found a few in Sulit but I don't know if the prices are already reasonable.

    Thanks.

For the 2.0, can we install a rear parking camera and have it projected from the entertainment unit? I noticed that the car specified park sensors not cameras.

Yan din question ko...sana pwede mag pa-install ng back up camera. The 1.5L only has back up sensors. Yung 2.0L lang daw yung may back up camera by default.

Hi Dennis. The Mazda salesperson I spoke with said there's no parking camera for both 1.5 and 2.0 variants - only parking sensors.

Yes, no back up camera either in the 2.0L, only back up sensors. I think rear camera comes as standard in other countries, as I saw one review in youtube.

Meron na po ba kayo alam na nagtitinda ng seat covers for 2014 Mazda 3?

Gusto ko sana as close as possible dun sa 2.0 na seats eh, para medyo match sa steering wheel at sa parking brake.

Nung una wala din back-up camera yung mga CX-5, and some dealers / 3rd party sellers managed to install back up cams. Camera will be mounted around the license plate area, while the monitor will be attached to either a new head unit that will replace the original, or to the rear view mirror.

Just read the Altis 1.6V vs Mazda 3 1.5V review in the latest Top Gear issue.

They chose the Mazda 3 because it's a more fulfilling car to own.

But what interests me is that the Mazda was more fuel efficient than the Altis, and that the reviewer did not find the Mazda to be underpowered compared to the Altis.

Most kasi compare the 1.5 Mz3 to the 2.0 so malayo talaga, but when compared to the 1.6 Altis it's not that different apparently.

^^^ Follow heavy maintenance use schedule which means you also change oil every 3000 kms.

Mz3 1.5 figure is starting to look good, from a high fc of 7.5 to a low 12.3

    that's almost 10 km/l average on city
