I wish that were always true sir Travs but way back in college, my gf knew a lot more about cars than I did so we shouldn't underestimate the ladies. Of course, Im a noob when it comes to cars. That's why I always find this site very informative although some threads seem to go way off mark when the discussion deviates from car talk. Thanks for the advice sir Travs, just reading your banter with other people in this site has been very instructive.
Haha, it's not underestimating, grover sir. I'm just saying the female eye is generally & naturally tuned to be more sensitive & precise on anything other than automotive.
Your gf back in college was a rare breed.
Luckily, my wife leaves em cars to me as she trusts this hobo & always finds the mild mods I do to her liking. She knew & embraced my passion long before we started dating.
And...no thanking needed, sir. The forums are here for everyone to learn from & share w/.....The biggest bonus???? Friendships forged!!!

The mood is really light in this thread sir Travs and people are very helpful. I guess I'll just read along this thread although I have little to contribute. I was quite drained in another thread were the topic was not on cars but rather on the economy so to speak. there were noobs there who couldn't quite get it or probably did not want to. One was polite but the other was, well let us just say I hope he did not come from the same institution that I did.

You are right sir Dalek, mea culpa. Shouldn't nosey around and just limit my lurking to where I can pick up something useful.

If you wanted wider tires, 245/35 19 is the best alternative or 235/35 19 but at the expense of comfort due to thinner sidewall. I bet the rim offset is +45 and you won't have any rubbing issues if you have the 225/40 or 245/35. Just my 2cents.
Spot on advice there, Geo brah. 245/45/19s are just too tall & wide.

    Hi,

Anyone know what this opening is? Just got back from Ilocos and saw this. It's underneath the upper right headlight part.

There was a lot of construction so we went off road sometimes but I was very careful and drove slowly. Maybe this caused this?

    Hope it's nothing serious

Either you just lost a bolt or something hit to deform that plastic cover, Bob sir. Nothing serious. If it's the latter, you can remove the cover, apply some heat w/ a heat gun or blow dryer & massage it back straight.
Here's a pic of mine for guidance, sir...

Haha...I've long learnt that omniscience is a godly trait mere mortals could never possess.....Some just forget they are not gods.:D
We can't control how others behave....but we can how we do. Some tolerance, patience, humility, maturity, even wit & humor can very well counter the insecurity, envy, sarcasm & all the negative energy out there.
On here, we simply discuss common passions, share whatever is useful to Mown3rship, & build friendships. Is this so hard?

I finally made the trip to Anson's shop in Manila and got the backup camera. I just noticed though when I got home that the inside door handle on the trunk was backwards. I asked about this and was told that it can be pulled out without removing the panels. I tried it abit and it's kind of hard and I'm worried that I might break a clip and make it loose. So just to confirm sa mga HB owners, pull out nga lang ba yung handle ng hatch?

Also, bro Travs previous tire specs from 245/35/19 already changed to 225/40/19.

If you are not comfortable with the mild tire stretch, you could opt for 245/35/19 next time and it is already guaranteed that there will be no rubbing even when dropped.

Anyway, you may want to use this for reference:

We also have budget tires, Accelera Phis. So far everything is great though a bit pricier than Achilles.
+1 on this very comprehensive & detailed guide. I have to express my gratitude to this brothah, Geo...I was set on going back to 245/35s til he found us this gem in 225/40 Axel PHIs! Thanks, brah. This set has exceeded expectations!!!!👍

    Salute yah back, brah.
Cars aren't just transportation. They somehow have become among the many instruments/blessings of gathering people together. From here to FB, you can see the group is generally mild-mannered, selfless & helpful.👍

Moddin' is happiness.... a journey of pleasure, not pressure...certainly not a race. Key is to spend w/in means.
The challenge of keeping everything hobo w/o looking hobo just adds to the fun.
As Geo said...imagine if you got 1 that needed work to make your daily company & commute bearable? Painful. Haha...Be glad, the M3, untouched & bare, still easily stands out.

Yep, cornering abilities of this car is very, very, very awesome!!!

Now, is there a way on how can we modify the paddle shifters? I think longer paddle shifters are needed especially when cornering
    Here you go, testa brah...

almost 2 months and I'm still in line for a 1.5 HB Aluminum Metallic. I got a call from my dealer who's offering me an available unit that's blue. I said I'll wait but happy to the person who'll say yes and get his M3 soon!
