Just Got our 2.0 sedan last Friday. Went on a 320 km round trip from Cabanatuan to Manila and back and it yielded 12.98 km/l with a heavy right foot (shifting at 4k rpm, 130 kph average on NLEX with quick bursts to 160).

Got 15.38 km/l on a 150 km (approx. 40 km moderate traffic/highway with mountain passes for the rest) round trip to our farm yesterday with normal driving (shifting at 3k rpm, 90 kph cruising speed).

Finally had the chance to take it to my daily drive route just this morning (11 km from our house taken at 25 minutes. 40% moderate city/60% hiway) and it did 14.28 km/l with tipid mode driving (shifting at 2k rpm . My 2004 Civic 1.6 mt does 11 km/l on that route (tipid mode din).

Those figures are from the trip computer, though. Haven't had the chance to measure via full tank method yet, but that might give you an idea.

i think for the power to weight ratio for better FC the best option for MZ3 is the 2.0 than the 1.5. purely hiway or mix 2.0 is better. for city driving 2.0 has the edge because of the istop feature. no wonder mas marami sales ng 2.0 than the 1.5 as per mazda alabang said.

Tried out both models myself and the difference in power and acceleration between the 2.0 and the 1.5 is really huge. For those always hitting the highway with 3 or more passengers, I would definitely recommend the 2.0.

Agreed. Haven't tried the 1.5 yet but I've driven a 1.6 mzr which, based on the comments in this thread, has the same feel on acceleration. You really can feel that the engine is labored, whereas my 2.0 shows no effort at all. I would definitely recommend the 2.0, even for those always hitting the city with 1 or less passenger.

Ang tipid pala ng 2.0 ah. Parang ung 1.6 ko na Lancer ganyan din konsumo. Tapos yan malaking displacement pa. Panalo!

Good day mga sir. We had our Mz3 1.5 for a month and we used the so called "full tank method" (If I'm not mistaken) to get the FC. We got an average of 12.7Km/L highway and city. Plus the fact that we hit 150kph and approx 120kph average cruising speed on SCTEX during our test drive from Cabanatuan to Clark.

That's some good fc sir, considering na mejo birit din. Does the 1.5 have the same final drive as the 2.0? i.e. 100 kph * 2000 rpm in 6th gear?

Mejo OT lang, sa Mazda Cabanatuan ka naglabas sir? As per my SA, dalawa pa lang ang naglalabas ng new Mz3 sa Cabanatuan, ours, which is a white 2.0 sedan and an aluminum metallic 1.5 sedan.

As for the final drive, 100kph * rpm between 2k-3k in 6th gear. I conclude na mas mataas po talaga rpm at this speed because of the smaller engine lalo na 100 kph above, nasa 4k rpm na sya. For sure 2.0 has an advantage at this range of speed.

Yes Sir sa Mazda Cab. po, ours po is the aluminum metallic 1.5 sedan.

That figure sounds about right. Hirap na humatak ang 2.0 in 6th because of the high gearing, pang cruising lang talaga.

Potpot sir pag nagkasalubong tayo. Actually nasasalubong ko mz3 nyo madalas sa city proper at minsan sa zaragoza.

I agree sir, pang relaxed driving lang po talaga yung 1.5 compared sa sporty 2.0

    Sure sir!

Hi Sir Charles...just curious if you have city driving FC readings...i drive mostly sa city...and my wife and i really like this car.

YOJIN3 covers PMS Parts, Labor, and Lubes. As long as it's in your PMS sked from 1,000 -60,000 kms or 3 years, then it'll be free. Wipers are consumable parts, so these are not covered. Same with tires, batteries, lights, etc.

    Ah...nice...Thanks for the feedback.
i think sulit pa rin...i'm really excited for this car. So far magaganda review pati fuel consumption ni 1.5L at 2.0L variant. Though kay 2.0L wag lang maipit sa non-moving traffic...FC gets really bad according to one user (parang 5-6km/L if i remember correctly).
