    2. Yes you can do so. No it wont rub.
    3. Not sure of the exact measurement of the ground clearance but it should be 1" lower. I've measured the original height from the wheel to the fender and it was an inch lower.
Thanks mga sir for the guidance.

Sa huli ko na balak palitan yung rims, I still haven't found the rim that's +45 that I really really like. Damn, I wish I went to see the Shanghai custom car show last 2 weeks ago baka may nakita pa akong magandang rims dun.

One more thing, I watch sa YouTube that they say that if you lower your car, you need to do some suspension alignment, also, may isa dun said that it's better to have a coilovers rather just springs, what's your take on this?

Yes sir, kailangan mo magpa align. Sakin nakuha naman agad ng 1st time aligment, kay bro Marc kailangan nya ibalik sa alignment shop kase may konting kabig siya.

Regarding coilovers, yes preferred ng walang problema sa funds, pag may budget constraint like me, im good with the trusted lowering spring brands. Probably upgrade in the future will be koni or bilstein shocks pag nag wear down na ang stock shocks ng Mz3 ko.

Yes, you'll need alignment after tweaking the suspension. A good shop can easily do this but find one who will take care of your rims when attaching their equipment. Here in Ph, it would normally costs 800-1.5k.

Coilovers are more flexible because you can adjust the damp setting (soft-hard) and the height settings with the twist of the collars. But note that they also give harsher ride. For track use, it's best to use coilovers. For show car though, coilovers can also be used for that "slammed" height + some also comes with camber adjustability to tuck that rubber in the fender!

Sometimes you will hear bad things from others , pero iba car nila , since pareho tayo lahat, there will be consistency with the ride quality . My only complaint is my chin scrapes a bit on my driveway (and that's just a 2 finger drop , with a 2 finger wheel gap) . The only solution is i have to buy a piece of wood to gradually lower the car when backing out i want to point out that its my driveways fault not the springs hahahaahahahhaahahah

If you wanna drastically drop & plan to track your car, go coilovers to perfectly custom tune your suspension. But if mild drop & closest to stock ride are your goals...HTechs can give you that balance w/o the pocket pain!

Always get an alignment after suspension work....tire life, steering response will depend on this.

The only thing that I couldn't hide from her is if I change the stock rims and wheels to 18" and that guys I'll need a lot of explaining to do.

Don't explain....just ask her this simple question....
How much does she care about your well being, mental health & happiness?
Chances are she'll accompany you in choosing not just 18s but 19s for you.....It's always a good presumption that wives love their husbands more than anything in the world, you know. Don't let paranoia cloud your judgement, vinrem sir? Haha

Hahahaha well I need to justify why I need to replace the wheels and rims in the first place when the stock wheel and rims are new.

I already ordered the strut bar, I'll just install it myself when I receive it but I need to buy some wrench first.

Tell her the TRUTH, gusto mo lang maging mas maporma ang kotse mo

There are many ways to waste money on a car and thats the business model embraced by some enterprising individuals

Tell her it's about your safety & hers......
    -better wet traction
    -safe cornering
    -shorter braking distance
    -better ride
    -better drive
    - better economy
    -superior performance
    -lower unsprung weight
    -better efficiency
    -better visibility by other motorists......etc....
You can't put a pricetag on these must have intangibles.....

    And????....
Mazda scrimped so they could save em for future variants, special editions & upgrades. A common business model used by everyone.

Unlike women's shoes, it's never about looks nor stance...who cares about those 2. Hahaha
