1.5 is okay if you've never driven a 2-liter or better.

For most people, it should be sufficient in the same way that the 1.3 Vios is sufficient - ample power for city driving with a little grunt for occasional speed, but not confidence-inspiring when it comes to quick overtaking especially when it's full of passengers.

You just have to decide whether your ego is worth the 200T premium.

Kumusta po ba ang servicing sa mga Mazda? Sirain ba or mahirap magpaservice both in casa and talyer? Maganda ung yojin 3 kaso wala akong kakilalang may mazda so ala akong first hand account.

Naka-pag pa PMS na ako twice thru Yojin3 and i can say na it's generally a good experience.

Meron silang checklist kung ano yung gagawin sa kotse mo for each schedule, detailing pati yung brand ng oil na ilalagay. By appointment yung twice na punta ko so dumating lang ako few minutes before yung sched ko and in-accomodate naman agad. After nung service, SA even gave a detailed account kung ano ano pa mga ginawa, like mga bolts na hinigpitan, etc. They even gave our ride car wash everytime pumupunta kami.

Dapat on time ka magpapa-service. For example 6 months PMS, 1 to 2 wks before 6th month nung kotse, kailangan mong makapunta, pag lumampas ka sa sched, kailangan mo na bayaran yung service. Hindi rin pwede magdala ng sariling oil kung ayaw mo yung gamit nila.

Few days after we bought the car, marami akong inquiries and maasikaso naman sila, atleast with my dealer sa Alabang. Siguro mga 3 times pa kami bumalik sa casa after buying to test drive other vehicles, para lang i-check kung ganun talaga yung behavior ng kotse, and in-accommodate naman nila lahat ng concerns namin.

As for repairs, hindi ko pa masabi what is covered by Yojin3 warranty since last year lang naman nag start yung program, di naman masisira agad yung sasakyan within 1 year unless lemon. Pero definitely hindi kasama sa 3 years yung consumables, like battery and yung normal na may wear and tear like yung mga pang-ilalim

    Sorry for the lengthy post

Salamat sa detailed response sir! Good to know na okay ang Yojin 3.
Iniisip ko lang din 'yung after ng 3 years, kung kumusta na ang parts and servicing.

After 3 years, sa labas ka na magpaservice and sa MazFord ka na bumili ng parts

Sounds like a normal and proper PMS done in a casa, besides the fact that this is free.

The engine oil policy is for them to maintain the engine's state as their own oil was already tested to perform well on the Mazda 3's engine. For other oils, they cannot really tell, and it might cost you your 3-year youjin warranty if you're unlucky.

Edi wag kayo bumili para bumaba demand. Teach them a lesson.

We're also planning to get one but we're waiting out a few months para mawala DI since they won't be able to sustain demand.

Unless of course maraming atat na magpapauto.

Basta bankloan is always lower than in-house financing ng casa. Pang attract lang ng casa ang lower dp pero pag kinompute mo, mas malaki babayaran mo in total. Kasi kahit in house yan, ipapasa rin ng casa sa mga bank yung financing nyan. So may patong na sila. Yung DI is the commission na binibigay ng bank sa dealer pag sa kanila binigay ung account. Pumunta ka sa casa para magcheck ng unit and price pero sa bank ka lumapit for financing.

not really always sir but most of the time nga it is. yung 2nd gen, we got it in-house last year and lower than bank.
special case nga lang yun, since it is already on its 2nd (last) year of its life before the 3rd gen comes out

i don't see it happening on the 3rd gen anytime near though, probably on its 4th year. right now, bank or cash is the way to go

finally na-test drive ko na si mz3 2.0 (hatch).. masasabi ko lang, sarap i-drive. pag sakay ko pa lang, gusto ko na sya iharurot. the paddle shift is responsive... you don't need to put it in sport mode to use it and the handling is great as expected.. ang ayaw ko lang ng konti, ang lakas ng break nya.. konting tapak pa lang nag-bite na sya.. either i need to get use to it or pa-adjust ko konti.. palalimin ko lang. hehe. I also read here na kailangan mo masanay dun sa handbrake.. i felt the same way too.. hehe!

i asked the SA kung pwede syang lagyan ng reverse cam and according to him, like the navigation option, they're still in the process of looking for a compatible accessories for the reverse cam.. just like what happened to CX-5 when it was first launched here. sana pwede talaga syang lagyan ng reverse cam kasi when i was driving the hatch, medyo di ko makita talaga yung bandang rear when i was in reverse.

trunk space... i was surprised how big the trunk space of the sedan.. kaya siguro na-apektuhan yun rear seat space kasi masyado nila naurong yung seat to give way to a more spacious trunk. i don't have any problems with the rear space kasi i can move pa din naman, di lang sya talaga kasi laki ng new city.. i just hope that they flatten yung nasa middle kahit papaano so it would more comfortable especially dun sa uupo sa gitna.

now, i need to drive the mz3 1.5 para i can decide which car to buy PLUS still waiting for the FC result of the owners. sabi kasi ng SA sa akin, yung FC 1.5 daw is at par na daw sa 1.3 ng ibang car brands.. i'll just have to wait and see
